About Time
All my life I have enjoyed platonic loves and those who know me well (including my wife), know that I have always made jokes about it and I take those "loves" very seriously.Those passions, besides having fun, have been a source of inspiration and even real results (You can read the story of Los Cañoneros, where I tell how, because of one of those loves my group, Los Cañoneros, traveled to Spain in 1985).

I think those loves deserve a special post, but let's go back to the subject of this review.
Among the women who make up my platonic loves, there is the Canadian actress Rachel McAdams. Knowing my "weakness", one of my children who is a film buff, every time there is a good movie with one of my beloved actresses, he recommends it to me and invites me to watch it. That's how I got to "About Time".
Beyond the fact of Rachel's presence in this movie, it has more than enough merit to be reviewed by me. So now I'm coming to the central theme of this post.
The story
The Wikipedia (in Spanish) presents the following synopsis;
Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) grows up in Cornwall in a house by the sea with his father James (Bill Nighy), his mother Mary (Lindsay Duncan), his absent-minded uncle Desmond (Richard Cordery) and his free-spirited sister Katherine or "Kit Kat" (Lydia Wilson). At the age of 21, Tim learns from his father that the men in his family have the secret ability to travel back in time to the moments they have lived before. To travel through time they must be in a dark space, clench their fists and visualize the memory they wish to travel to. James discourages his son from using his gift to acquire money or fame, and Tim decides he will use it to improve his love life.
However, as paradoxical as it sounds, this film is not about time travel. If you don't feel like reading the rest of the review, but are intrigued by this commentary, you can jump straight to the conclusion at the end of the post and find out why I said it.
"About Time" is an English film by director Richard Curtis, from the year 2013. It features Domhnall Gleeson in the cast. Irish actor that we could see as one of the generals of the dark side in several episodes of Star Wars, the fearsome General Armitage Hux and also as the opponent of the famous Peter Rabbit. Also in Ex Machina and Goodbye Christopher Robin.
Now I have to be comedian to talk about the main character Rachel McAdams, who we also saw as the beautiful thief Irene Adler, in the 2009 Sherlock Holmes movie, where she acted with Robert Downey Jr. We also saw her as Christine Palmer, the woman who connects Dr. Strange to the world, played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
Bill Nighy (the father), Lindsay Duncan (the mother), Lydia Wilson, Tom Hollander and the beautiful Margot Robbie also acted.
The characters in the film are a marvel in terms of richness as they are structured in such a complete and original way that each one manages to captivate you completely. It is admirable the work of all the actors who make the greatest contribution to this work.
The film manages to create all kinds of sensations, based only on an extraordinary plot, which leads us to live the joy, the suspense, the tension (almost the terror), in a subtle and successful way. In spite of the simplicity of the plot, we are permanently intrigued by the outcome of each moment.
Conclusion
The most interesting thing about this film is that these journeys in time do not have the adventure character of other stories, it is taken to the daily and normal life of a person.However, in my opinion, time travel in this film is just an excuse to talk about the beauty of life and knowing how to live in the moment, it is a film to highlight the importance of love and family.
Totally recommended for sensitive people who enjoy the themes of life and love!

Toda mi vida he disfrutado de los amores platónicos y quienes me conocen bien (incluyendo a mi esposa), saben que siempre he hecho bromas al respecto y me tomo esos “amores” muy en serio. Esas pasiones, además de divertirme, han sido fuente de inspiración y hasta resultados reales (Pueden leer la historia de Los Cañoneros, donde cuento cómo, por uno de esos amores mi grupo, Los Cañoneros viajo a España en 1985).
Esos amores creo que bien merecen un post especial, pero volvamos al tema de esta reseña.
Entre las mujeres que conforman mis amores platónicos, está la actriz canadiense Rachel McAdams. A sabiendas de mi “debilidad”, uno de mis hijos que es cinéfilo, cada vez que hay alguna película buena con una de mis actrices amadas, me la recomiendan y me invitan a verla. Así llegué hasta “Cuestión de Tiempo” (About Time).
Más allá del hecho de la presencia de Rachel en esta película, la misma tiene méritos de sobra para ser reseñada por mí. Así que ahora sí voy al tema central de este post.
La historia
La Wikipedia nos presenta la siguiente sinopsis;
Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) crece en Cornualles en una casa junto al mar con su padre James (Bill Nighy), su madre Mary (Lindsay Duncan), su tío distraído Desmond (Richard Cordery) y su hermana de espíritu libre Katherine o " Kit Kat "(Lydia Wilson). A la edad de 21 años, Tim se entera por su padre de que los hombres de su familia tienen la habilidad secreta de viajar en el tiempo, a los momentos que han vivido antes. Para viajar en el tiempo deben estar en un espacio oscuro, apretar los puños y visualizar el recuerdo al que desean viajar. James desalienta a su hijo de usar su regalo para adquirir dinero o fama, y Tim decide que lo usará para mejorar su vida amorosa.
Sin embargo, aunque suene paradójico, esta película no trata sobre los viajes en el tiempo. Si no tienes ganas de leer el resto de la reseña, pero te intriga este comentario, puedes saltar directo a la conclusión al final del post y enterarte del porqué de mi afirmación.
“Cuestión de Tiempo” es una película inglesa del director Richard Curtis, del año 2013. Cuenta en el elenco con Domhnall Gleeson, como protagonista. Actor irlandés que pudimos ver como uno de los generales del lado oscuro en varios de los episodios de La Guerra de las Galaxias, el temible General Armitage Hux y también como el contrincante del famoso conejo Peter Rabbit. También en Ex Machina y Goodbye Christopher Robin.
Ahora debo ser comedido para habla de la protagonista Rachel McAdams, a quien también pudimos ver como la hermosa ladrona Irene Adler, en la película de 2009 de Sherlock Holmes, donde actuó junto a Robert Downey Jr. Así mismo la pudimos apreciar como Christine Palmer, la mujer que conecta con el mundo al Dr. Strange, interpretado este por Benedict Cumberbatch.
También actúan Bill Nighy (el padre), Lindsay Duncan (la madre), Lydia Wilson, Tom Hollander y la bella Margot Robbie.
Los personajes de la película son una maravilla en cuanto a riqueza al estar estructurados de una manera tan completa y original que cada uno logra cautivarte por completo. Es admirable el trabajo de todos los actores quienes hacen el mayor aporte a esta obra.
La película logra crear todo tipo de sensaciones, basada únicamente en una extraordinaria trama, que nos lleva a vivir la alegría, el suspenso, la tensión (casi el terror), de manera sutil y acertada. A pesar de la sencillez de la trama, nos tiene en permanente intriga el desenlace de cada momento.

Conclusión
Lo más interesante de esta película es que esos viajes en el tiempo no tienen el carácter de aventura de otras historias, es llevado a la vida cotidiana y normal de una persona. Sin embargo, a mi modo de ver, los viajes en el tiempo en esta película son solo una excusa para hablar sobre la belleza de la vida y de saber el vivir el momento, es una película para resaltar la importancia del amor y la familia.
¡Totalmente recomendada para personas sensibles y que disfruten de los temas de la vida y el amor!
