Si alguna vez visitáis La Laguna (Tenerife) no os podéis perder el claustro del instituto Cabrera Pinto.
Este edificio fue la primera Universidad de Canarias y se fundó en 1792 por orden de Carlos IV. Desde principios del siglo XVIII, ya en este convento de los agustinos se impartían estudios superiores pero el Real decreto dio el fundamento legislativo necesario para la creación de la primera Universidad de Canarias y lo hizo en la isla de Tenerife.
En 1845 la universidad se suprimió y las instalaciones se convirtieron en el Instituto de Canarias Cabrera Pinto que actualmente imparte enseñanzas medias.
El instituto consta dos partes: la parte más antigua es donde estaba el antiguo convento de los agustinos y en ella se dan las asignaturas del bachillerato. En la parte más moderna se imparten las enseñanzas de educación secundaria.
La iglesia de San Agustín se quemó en 1964, perdiendo un gran patrimonio pero permaneció íntegro su claustro.
Este claustro canario, a mí me encanta. Es es una auténtica maravilla. Es una auténtica joya en el corazón de La Laguna. Está muy cuidada su parte interior y con mucha vegetación. En el centro hay una fuente típica canaria. La tranquilidad y la historia que se percibe aquí es palpable.
Este fue el motivo que elegí para pintar ayer. Recuperé una fotografía que tenía y la viré a blanco y negro.
Luego fui coloreándola. Lo primero pinté toda la parte del fondo. Existe un contraste muy agradable entre las paredes de color cálido rojizo y la vegetación verdosa y fresca.
Pinté la vegetación del suelo frondoso aunque luego lo cambié porque utilicé un verde demasiado intenso. Es lo bueno del programa para pintar en el iPad, porque te permite hacer modificaciones.
Por último, añadí unos suaves tonos magenta repartidos por todo el dibujo con el fin de integrar todas las partes entre sí.
Decidí dejarlo inacabado como en el anterior dibujo de Florencia. La imaginación hace el resto.

Hay que resistir. Van a ser muchos días y hay que aguantar como sea.
El truco que estoy utilizando es fragmentar el día en muchos espacios distintos. Limpieza de la casa, ejercicio, gimnasia, leer pintar, trabajo telemático, Steemit, hacer llamadas de teléfono a familiares y amigos, etc... Las noticias? procuro ver las justas porque no es cuestión de potenciar la ansiedad.
Con el asunto del rey emérito estoy indignado....

If you ever visit La Laguna in Tenerife you cannot miss the cloister of the Cabrera Pinto institute.
This building was the first University of the Canary Islands and was founded in 1792 by order of Carlos IV. Since the beginning of the 18th century, higher education was taught in this convent of the Augustinians, but the Royal Decree founded the first University and did so on the island of Tenerife.
In 1845 the university was abolished and the facilities became the Instituto de Canarias Cabrera Pinto, which currently teaches secondary education.
The institute consists of two parts: the oldest part is where the former Augustinian convent used to be and in it the subjects of the baccalaureate are given.
In the most modern part, secondary education is taught.
The church of San Agustín burned down in 1964, losing a great heritage but its cloister remained intact.
I love this Canarian cloister. It is a real wonder. It is a real gem in the heart of La Laguna. Its inner part is well cared for and with a lot of vegetation. In the center there is a typical Canarian fountain. The tranquility and history that is perceived here is palpable.
This was the reason I chose to paint yesterday. I retrieved a photograph I had and turned it to black and white.
Then I was coloring it. First I painted the whole part of the background. There is a very nice contrast between the warm reddish colored walls and the fresh greenish vegetation.
I painted the greenery of the leafy soil although later I changed it because I used a too intense green. It is the good thing about the program for painting on the iPad, because it allows you to make modifications.
Finally, I added some soft magenta tones spread throughout the drawing in order to integrate all the parts together.
I decided to leave it unfinished as in the previous drawing of Florence. Imagination does the rest.
I hope you like the result.

Tienes muy buen gusto para el dibujo y el color. Realmente, me encantó tu publicación.
Tanta belleza en tu arte contrasta con el nombre que elegiste. Nunca había querido ver un post tuyo, precisamente por ese nombre de usuario tan vano.
Pero, el aprendizaje que me llevo es que no debo menospreciar lo que desconozco, solo por la apariencia inicial.
Bueno, cuando entre en esto de Steemit hace dos años, lo hice un poco de risa. Como una broma. De contrasentidos y humor tú entiendes bien.. 😊
Ahora creo que el nombre es una marca y mucha gente me conoce como tal. Me gusta así

Muy cierto. Con este lío de la pandemia del Coronavirus y la cuarentena forzosa a la que está sometida gran parte de la humanidad, hay que aprovechar el tiempo de sobra en nuestros hogares.
