Remembering my trip to the Dominican Republic /Recordando mi viaje a República Dominicana
Hello, greetings to all the members of the Steemit community and the GEMS community. Today I want to share with you a trip I made to the Dominican Republic in October 2015.
Hola un saludo a todos los miembros de la comunidad Hive y de la comunidad GEMS hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un viaje que hice a República Dominicana en octubre del año 2015.
This trip was very special for me because I met a great friend from my childhood who migrated from Venezuela to the Dominican Republic because his parents were Dominicans. He and I studied together at school and we were best friends.
Este viaje fue muy especial para mi debido a que me reencontré con un gran amigo de mi infancia el cual migró de Venezuela a República Dominicana debido a que sus padres eran Dominicanos. El y yo estudiamos juntos en la escuela y fuimos mejores amigos.
When we met again we had more than 10 years without seeing each other at that time he had already married and had two children, when we said goodbye in Venezuela with tears in our eyes we promised to meet again at some point in our lives and the moment came 10 years later .
Cuando nos reencontramos teníamos más de 10 años sin vernos en ese tiempo el ya se había casado y tenía dos hijos, cuando nos despedimos en Venezuela con lágrimas en nuestros ojos prometimos volver a vernos en algún momento de nuestras vidas y el momento llegó 10 años después.
Although the trip only lasted 5 days, we tried to make the most of those days and to remember all the moments of our childhood.
Aunque el viaje solo duró 5 días tratamos de aprovechar al máximo esos días y de recordar todos los momentos de nuestra infancia.
Unfortunately the day of the return to Venezuela arrived but as good friends of a lifetime we promised to see each other again in the future.
Lastimosamente el día del retorno a Venezuela llegó pero como buenos amigos de toda la vida prometimos vernos nuevamente en el futuro.
