El coatí goloso / The sweet tooth coati

Tiene el hocico puntiagudo y largo, un cuerpo ágil aunque rellenito y una hermosa cola peluda que se ve muy suave. ¿Qué es? El coatí.

Este animalito, cuyo nombre significa en idioma guaraní "nariz alargada", habita en varias regiones del continente americano. Suele estar en los árboles, a los que trepa y en los que se desplaza con mucha habilidad, como si fuera un mono.

This little animal, whose name means "elongated nose" in the Guarani language, lives in various regions of the American continent. It is usually in the trees, which it climbs and moves very skillfully, as if it were a monkey.

Cuando viajé a Argentina hace unos años con mi mamá, fuimos a conocer el Parque Nacional de Iguazú para ver las impresionantes cataratas, ¡de verdad increíbles! un lado pertenece a Brasil y el otro a Argentina.

When I traveled to Argentina a few years ago with my mother, we went to see the Iguazú National Park to see the impressive waterfalls, truly incredible! one side belongs to Brazil and the other to Argentina.

Visitando primero el lado brasilero (Foz do Iguaçu) comenzamos la caminata por la senda de las cataratas, objetivo: llegar a la Garganta del Diablo. Pues en ese camino, nos conseguimos a esos simpáticos animalitos, que con esa carita lo que provocaban era que la gente qusiera abrazarlos y besarlos, jajaja pero son unos malvados. Te acechan, te huelen, se te paran con las manitos en el pantalón y... ¡zuas! se llevan tu comida.

Visiting first the Brazilian side (Foz do Iguaçu) we begin the walk along the path of the falls, objective: to reach the Devil's Throat. Well, on that way, we knew those nice little animals, that with that little face what they caused was that people wanted to hug and kiss them, hahaha but they are evil. They stalk you, they smell you, they put their little hands in your pants and ... bang! they take your food.

Uno de esos coatíes, queriendo "diversificar su dieta" le quitó la bolsa con comida a mi mamá. Fue demasiado cómico, mi máma jalando la bolsa, el coatí destrozándola con sus uñas y finalmente saliéndose con la suya y corriendo a esconderse en un matorral para devorar lo cazado... no se lo llevó todo, el Mantecol (chuchería argentina hecha con pasta de maní) se le cayó en la carrera, salté una cerca para recuperarlo y mi mamá se lo comió con más gusto y satisfacción. Después andaba paranoica por los coatíes, tan tiernos animalitos...

One of those coatis, wanting to "diversify its diet", took my mother's bag of food. Then she was paranoid about coatis, such cute little animals...
