However, behind it all we can not deny there is a very important thing in dealing with quarantine, or lock down. One thing that cannot be avoided is the need for food. One can easily say that everything has been taken care of by the state. The state is obliged to meet the needs of all its citizens.
well, here we need a good understanding that the country will be able to meet the food needs of its citizens if there is sufficient production.

Labor shortages

To meet food needs, the role of farmers in villages is needed. The farmer make a large contribution to the availability of food. On the one hand, basic food needs must be available, but on the other hand the interest of youth to become farmers is fading. young people prefer to work in offices, companies or other services that do not make their bodies dirty with mud and in strong sunlight.
As a result, farmers must encourage creativity to get good harvests. Difficulties in finding power to grow crops finally were dealt with by planting rice by spreading seeds in the form of grain. Not planting rice seedlings that have been sown.
As we did this planting season, we spread rice seeds directly on the existing land.
To spread this seed we must use feelings so that the seeds will be spread more evenly with the distance between the seeds not too tight and also not too rare. Luckily, I have a very skilled mentor. He is my father-in-law. He taught how to sow seeds to be scattered with the right distance.

The picture above is a rice plant at the age of five days planting. Every day I monitor its growth. We also saw some places that were not seeded. I take the seeds and sow again to keep the seeds growing evenly.
In addition, I also started pulling weeds that had started to grow with rice. After this I will also irrigate the rice fields to provide sufficient water to the rice seeds that are starting to grow. I continue to do this rice care so that I can produce a harvest at the age of three months. With a good harvest, the farmers have contributed food security for the community.
