Golden Hour: peaceful sunset over Praia Viola, Sao Miguel Island
Hi there my Steemian friends and followers!
As we all know, we are currently experiencing some extremely turbulent times both in our Steemian world that is still under the imminent threat of Sun´s hostile takeover as well as in our real lives as most of the countries all around the world have been dealing with the feared Corona Virus and all the unprecedented measures and consequences of the pandemic.
I have been lately posting about both of these topics and there is still so much I could write about it as the course of both affairs has been changing dramatically but for a very long time, Sundays have been reserved for peaceful sunset photos here on my Steem blog and I want to stick to this tradition even today. Without further ado, here is my latest contribution to the golden hour series.
I took this picture on Praia Viola (the Viola Beach) here on the Azores island of Sao Miguel just a few days ago. We discovered this adorable beach accidentally while exploring the northern part of the island around the little coastal towns of Sao Bras and Maia.
As you can see in the photo, there was nobody else there and we had the entire beautiful black sand beach just for ourselves. There is a nice little trail leading to the beach from the town of Maia. We got there just before the sunset and were privileged to enjoy some very relaxing moments there while absorbing the last sun rays of the day. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to this part of the island.
