Being in quarantine has allowed me to be more and more with my children and I have been able to share various moments of play and distraction.

El estar en cuarentena me ha permitido estar cada vez más con mis hijos y he podido compartir diversos momentos de juegos y distracción.

I am not a great photographer and I have never really edited photographs, but one of these afternoons in my city (the city of the inclement sun) we were playing in the courtyard of the house and the sun was shining directly into our eyes and just when I was looking at my son I could only see a shadow and the reflection of the sun and I said "Wow" we must capture a moment like that!

No soy un gran fotógrafo y la verdad nunca he editado fotografías, pero una de estas tardes en mi ciudad (la ciudad del sol inclemente) estábamos jugando en el patio de la casa y el sol nos daba de manera directamente en los ojos y justo cuando estoy viendo a mi hijo solo pude observar una sombra y el reflejo del sol y dije “Wow” debemos de captar un momento así!

I told my son and he was encouraged to pose in various ways, from eating in the sun to trying to cover it up with a finger was a very entertaining time.

Le dije a mi hijo y se animó a posar haciendo diversas formas, desde comiéndose al sol hasta intentar taparlo con un dedo fue un rato muy entretenido.

Outside, dazzled by the sunlight, we thought that the photos were as our eyes saw "light and dark" but inside the house at night we realized that the photographs were much clearer than we thought to the point of clearly distinguishing even features on the face, which does not look good in this photographic style.

Afuera, encandilado por la luz solar pensamos que las fotos quedaron como nuestros ojos veían “claros y oscuros” pero dentro de la casa en la noche nos dimos cuenta que las fotografías eran mucho más claras de lo que creímos al punto de distinguir claramente hasta facciones en el rostro, cosa que no queda bien en este estilo fotográfico.

My son was discouraged because he wanted to see in digital what our glances captured that afternoon is when I decide to study a little "photo editing". I looked for several tutorials and with a little time and dedication I managed to make the photographs come closer to what we observed that afternoon.

Mi hijo se desanimó pues él deseaba ver en digital lo que nuestras miradas captaron esa tarde es entonces cuando me decido estudiar un poco de “edición fotográfica”. Busque varios tutoriales y con un poco de tiempo y dedicación logre hacer que las fotografías se acercaran a lo que nosotros observamos en esa tarde.

Prometheus. We decided to name it after the Greek Titan who stole the Fire of the Gods.

Prometeo. Decidimos llamarla así por el Titán Griego que robo el Fuego de los dioses.

You can't block the sun with one finger. This name was given by my son, because to be able to do what we want (in this case a good photo) it is impossible to cover the sun with a finger, you must see things as they are and face reality.

No se puede tapar el sol con un dedo. Este nombre fue dado por mi hijo, ya que para poder hacer lo que queremos (en este caso una buena foto) es imposible tapar el sol con un dedo, se debe ver las cosas tal cual son y afrontar la realidad.

Love for the world. We decided to call it that in order to give an image that gives hope to our society, which currently needs more love and less hate between us.

Amor para el mundo. Decidimos llamarla así para dar una imagen que le de esperanza a nuestra sociedad, que actualmente necesita más amor y menos odio entre nosotros.

There were many photographs but we decided to place these three because for us they were the ones that had the most impact. My wife saw me working and even took some pictures in XD work plane so I also leave them so you can see how I managed to make them.

Fueron muchas fotografías pero decidimos colocar estas tres pues para nosotros fueron las que tenían un aspecto más impactante. Mi esposa, me vio trabajando y hasta me tomo unas fotografías en plano trabajo XD así que también se las dejo para que puedan observar u poco de como logre realizarlas.
