I don't know if you know this, but I am currently a teacher in an elementary school in my city, which means that my salary is based on a tab that the Venezuelan government takes out based on the current minimum wage, which so far is 300,000 bs, which today is equivalent to 1.5 dollars.

No sé si lo sabrán pero actualmente soy docente en una escuela primaria en mi ciudad, lo que significa que mi sueldo es basado en un tabulador que saco el gobierno de Venezuela en función del salario mínimo actual que hasta el momento es de 300.000 bs lo que equivale hoy a 1 dólar y medio.

This reality, in itself, is bad, but everyone knows that on the first of May every year there is a salary increase depending on the situation and it could be said that it was enough to half eat and prepare again for the rise of the dollar and return to the endless cycle of inflation in Venezuela.

Esta realidad, ya de por si es mala, pero todos saben que el primero de mayo de todos los años se hace un aumento de sueldo en función de la situación y se podría decir que alcanzaba para medio comer y prepararse nuevamente para la subida de dólar y regresar al ciclo sin fin de inflación en Venezuela.

So far, "everything is going well" (I'm just trying to stay calm and not explode in the face of an inevitable reality). The SMALL detail is that today, while I was already unmotivated by having invested in HIVE tokens at BINACE and their currency losing value, they send me a whatsapp with a twitt telling me that they are going to raise my salary.

Hasta acá “todo va bien” (solo trato de mantenerme tranquilo y no explotar ante una realidad inevitable) el PEQUEÑO detalle es que hoy mientras estaba ya desmotivado por haber invertido en HIVE tokens en BINACE y que su moneda pierda valor, me mandan un whatsapp con un twitt diciéndome que ya van a subir el sueldo.

I don't deny it until I'm a little happy and say "well I hope I can buy something extra" and proceed to open the tweet and I find a GLORIOUS news "the minimum wage goes up to 800.000bs" which is equivalent to 4$ if you read well 4$ miserable dollars for working 8 hours a day taking care of children, supporting the inclement heat of the east, riding in vehicles saturated with people and leaving alone in passage almost ¼ part of my salary. Which leaves us with only 3 dollars to pay for food, clothing, utilities and so on.

No lo niego hasta me alegre un poco y dije “bueno espero alcance para comprar algo adicional” y procedo a abrir el twit y me encuentro con una GLORIOSA noticia “el sueldo mínimo sube a 800.000bs” lo que equivale a 4$ si leyeron bien 4$ míseros dólares por trabajar 8 horas diarias atendiendo niños, soportando el calor inclemente de oriente, montándome a golpes en Vehículos saturados de personas y dejando solo en pasaje casi ¼ parte de mi sueldo. Lo que nos deja con solo 3 dólares para la solventar alimento, ropa, servicios y demás.

Today I didn't plan to publish "more" since I had 2 publications with little value and I said good enough about Josue for today, but I needed to share with someone the situation that is lived here and to drain a little the impotence that this situation gives me.

Hoy no pensaba publicar “más” ya que tenía 2 publicaciones con poco valor y dije bueno ya es suficiente de Josue por hoy, pero necesitaba compartir con alguien la situación que se vive acá y drenar un poco la impotencia que me da esta situacion.

Just to put them in context and understand my anger, I can mention some basic Venezuelan food prices, for example:
¼ of coffee (which is a sin to miss) is 200,000bs even more.
15 eggs are available for 400.000bs or even 600.000bs
1 kilo of meat between 600,000 and 800,000bs.

Solo para que entren en contexto y entiendan mi rabia puedo hacer mención de algunos precios de comida básica del venezolano como por ejemplo:
¼ de café (que es pecado que falte) esta 200.000bs incluso mas.
15 huevos se consiguen por 400.000bs o incluso 600.000bs
1 kilo de carne entre 600.000 y 800.000bs.

I'm not complaining about the prices! I understand that traders must make a profit and obviously generate a market in order to stay afloat, what makes my blood boil is the cynicism of the person who publicized it, Mr. Eduardo Piñate minister of labor (of slavery in this case) placing in his note "to protect the people".

Ojo no me quejo de los precios!! Entiendo que los comerciantes deben tener ganancias y evidentemente generar un mercado para poder mantenerse a flote, lo que me hierve la sangre es el cinismo de la persona que lo público, el señor Eduardo Piñate ministro de trabajo (del esclavismo en este caso) colocando en su nota “para proteger al pueblo”.

And even worse, people in my community who are followers of officialdom are publishing the information with pride! Thanking you for your "generous" increase. I don't know if it's me or if this quarantine is making me cranky, but this fills me with discomfort and frustration. And although I was almost knotted up with this news and with the response of the Venezuelan people I can thank God for allowing me to meet this great community that has not only allowed me to share what I know and feel, but through the curators of this platform I have managed to acquire income that will allow me to overcome this economic situation and bring a decent plate of food to my house.

Y peor aún, personas de mi comunidad adeptas al oficialismo publicando la información con orgullo! Agradeciendo su “generoso” aumento. No sé si seré yo o si esta cuarentena me provoca mal humor, pero esto me llena de molestia y frustración. Y aunque estaba casi con un nudo en la garganta con esta noticia y con la respuesta del pueblo Venezolano puedo dar gracias a Dios que me permitió conocer a esta gran comunidad que no solo me ha permitido compartir lo que se y siento, si no que por los curadores de esta plataforma he logrado adquirir ingresos que permitan sobrellevar esta situación económica y llevar un plato de comida decente a mi casa.

Well... that's all... I just wanted to write down my helplessness and drain my frustration with the situation in the country where my children are being raised.

Bueno… eso es todo…. Solo deseaba escribir mi impotencia y drenar mi frustración ante la situación que vive el país donde se están criando mis hijos.
