Internet Scamming And The Social Media's Powerful Influence On The Numerous Human Societies
Internet scam and social media ostentatiousness is becoming something synonyms with the society at large and it's no news that the virtual social media life influences the lives people live in general either directly or indirectly, from dressing to food to lifestyle to accent. I don't know about the vast societies in other culture and countries, but then in my society everything is so much built in the foundation of making money so much that the moral compass of the Society is somewhat compromised and we of course know this and accept this.
There's the mentality that a person is only well-to-do when they of course showcase how large they live and this is why there's an invisible pressure to make it even without passing through the physical and psychological stages of life. In my society i know young people who are etched into the frenzy of internet scamming, they glorify fraud as the fastest way to make money as a result of this they deglorify legitimate means of making money thereby making the mindset of growing children who look up to them to be totally tainted and sullied.
I've seen parents in Nigeria who are happy that their children are internet scammers. Education and of course owning a business is something they consider a waste of time and they bribe the police and the authorities when they're caught and of course a link of corruption is decentralised and established which means the chain of command is compromised and the systematic reeks of absolute filth. In totality Nigeria is a country filled with hardworking young men but then the bad eggs have made sure the hardworking people are smeared with a certain stigma of terrible people.
So the mindset is totally tainted and wealth is wealth no matter how ill the means of making it seems. A perfect example is the man we know as Ray Hushpuppi an internet criminal who was glorified,demi-goded and popularly celebrated on Many social media platforms for showcasing enormous and outrageous amount of wealth with not formal recognisable means of income. The effect of this man's lifestyle is that it makes people feel that making money is an easy endeavour and it makes people who are hardworking through the right channel feel that they're underewarded in whatever they're doing.
I for one feel that the media in general is tainted with so much display of abnormalities, sex, appeal, drunkenness and illicit acts are things most people learn from the media but then it becomes difficult to still maintain clear cut legitimate goals when you're beginning to get driven by things outside your nomenclature. Making money is difficult and that's the truth, the life of people who are having it easy either legitimate or ill gotten doesn't truncate this fact. But then what we see dwells with us more than anything else.
As for the vast Nigerian society One reason why the system might never be cleansed is because there's corruption from the top to the bottom and there'll be a queer check and balance within the system so much that everyone has dirt on another person. Truth is, the social media has aided internet scamming I mean looking for love was the earliest means of getting scammed. You see people who are heartbroken and alone, meet rich and beautiful people online and boom! This is explored to the fullest. Nowadays it's more sophisticated, from using people's social security numbers to getting their personal information, scamming is thriving huge and many are suffering from it.
Using and expanding scam list tor, you can protect yourself and give the opportunity to protect others from unfair actions of site owners.
