The Boy (White Charcoal On Black Paper)

Hello Everyone.
I stumbled on a monochrome picture depicting a boy in the dark with reflected light on his face and back of his head. I loved the concept on sight and decide to make a drawing of the scene.
I used a white charcoal pencil and black paper for this drawing.

Here are my steps;
First, I drew the outline of the boy's face starting from his eyes and then to his neck and hair.


Next, I kept shading all the parts of his face, ear and neck that reflected light with the white charcoal pencil and added details to his hair.

Finally, I did some blending on the white areas on the face, neck and shirt until I got an appealing result.
