Hi everyone

Without a doubt, one of the greatest spectacles of nature is in the sea.

Sin duda alguna, uno de los mayores espectáculos de la naturaleza están en el mar.

Everyone knows that humpback whales do spectacular maneuvers, with zero hesitation, these gentle giants will jump out of the sea, shake their bodies, and then fly into the water with 40 tons of fury.

I was watching a documentary on National Geography about the humpback whale, I can't help but be amazed at the vastness of the blue sea and marine fauna.

I made some designs of the image impregnated in my mind of the acrobatics of these impressive animals that seem to unite the sky with the sea.

Todos saben que las ballenas jorobadas hacen maniobras espectaculares, con cero vacilación, estos gentiles gigantes saltarán del mar, sacudirán sus cuerpos y luego volarán al agua con 40 toneladas de furia.

Veía un documental en National Geography sobre la ballena jorobada, no puedo salir de asombro de la inmensidad del mar azul y la fauna marina.

Realicé unos diseños de la imagen impregnada en mi mente de las acrobacias de éstos impresionantes animales que parecen unir el cielo con el mar.

Why do humpback whales jump?

There are many hypotheses:


This particular behavior has been an intrigue to scientists and researchers for many years. Despite being something so well known, there are still insufficient data to determine with certainty the reason why humpback whales jump.

In summary some theories:

1 To communicate a wish or need.
2 Alert others to potential predators.
3 To notify others of food.
4 To mark territory
5 To look around you.

Anyway, it is not known for sure, but I am sure they jump to be Happy.

Por que saltan las ballenas jorobadas?

Existen muchas hipótesis:

Este particular comportamiento ha sido la intriga para los cientificos e investigadores por muchos años. A pesar de ser algo tan conocido, aún no existen datos suficientes para determinar con certeza la razón de porque saltan las ballenas jorobadas.

En resumen algunas teorías:

1 Para comunicar un deseo o necesidad.
2 Alertar a otras de posibles depredadores.
3 Para avisar a las demás sobre comida.
4 Para marcar territorio
5 Para observar a su alrededor.

En fin no se sabe a ciencia cierta, pero estoy seguro que saltan para ser Felices.
