Travel day

Today was the first weekend the borders between counties were open. That meant one thing - it's time for some traveling! 😊

The great mountain Velebit was swimming in the clouds!

On the other side of Velebit... The sea! It's been a long time since I've seen the sea. I've missed it so much.

The first stop was Zadar. This city has its own story and its own soul, so it was very unusual to see it empty, it's always full of tourists and locals, who drink coffee at every turn.

The last thing I wanted to see in Zadar before leaving was Monument to the Sun & Sea organ. I tried to take off with my drone, but it seems to be broken, he couldn't take off. 😔

Monument to the Sun or The Greeting to the Sun is a monument in Zadar, Croatia dedicated to the Sun. It consists of three hundred, multi-layered glass plates placed on the same level as the stone-paved waterfront. It consists of a 22-meter diameter circle, with photovoltaic solar modules underneath. Lighting elements installed in a circle turn on at night, and produce a light show. The monument, designed by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić, symbolizes communication with nature, communicates with light, while the nearby Sea organ communicates with sound.

I'm so happy to be here, I love this town! It's one of those cities you fall in love with at first sight.

We were so hungry, that we immediately sat down in our favourite restaurant and ordered our favourite dishes (shrimps on buzara and octopus salad).

It's very messy finger-food but also very fun and delicious! A lot of garlic, white wine, sometimes tomatoes and bread crumbs are put in the sauce and on buzara means to stew (mussels, shrimps, etc.).

Although the weather was not ideal, we decided to take a walk through the old town. As in Zadar, there were no people as before.
