The young man are the workers who burn the Leumang Wak Saleh every day -- one of the well-known brands in my city, Lhokseumwe.

Anak-anak muda itu adalah para pekerja yang saban hari membakar Leumang produksi Wak Saleh--salah satu brand cukup dikenal di kota saya, Lhokseumwe.

Setiap harinya, mereka rata-rata memproduksi sekitar 2 sak beras ketan yang diolah menjadi Leumang, pesanan pun berasal dari beberapa daerah di luar kota Lhokseumawe. Produksi Leumang tahun ini memang ada sedikit penurunan dari biasanya dikarenakan wabah Corona yang juga ditakutkan menyebar di kota tersebut.

Harganya juga bervariasi, bila dibeli perbambu bisa mencapai IDR 5 puluh ribu rupiah, namun bila membeli secara potongan juga tersedia dengan ragam harga yang dinilai relatif murah, IDR 5ribu sampai dengan 1Oribu rupiah. Meski ada penurunan produksi, rata-rata Leumang wak saleh ini mampu menghabiskan 2O s/d 25 kilogram beras ketan setiap harinya.
