I did most of the preparation for my divemaster qualification at a hole-in-the-ground called Miracle Waters.

The lake has everything you need for training, but the visibility isn't very good and there are almost no fish. However, when you live far from the ocean your options are limited.

We stayed overnight at the campsite (1) to do the NIGHT DIVING training. The shallow training areas (2) are good for SEARCH AND RESCUE, NAVIGATION and other skills. The middle of the lake (3) is where I did my DEEP DIVING (car) and the bus can be used to learn the skills for CAVE DIVING.

At first it's scary to dive with limited vision but the more dives you do the more you relax and trust in your abilities.
