Big Mushroom Find!

I was lucky to find a lot of cool looking mushrooms on one of my walks this week.

I, honestly, do not know the names of all these fungi but this one looks like it may be Turkey Tails mushrooms or a Polypore and it is quite a pretty display if I do say so myself! 😉

I believe these may be some type of Polypore as well.

This one is a mystery to me and I wonder what it may have looked like a month or two ago. At first I thought it was an old wasp nest. As I inched in for a closer look, I found it to be some kind of fungi...I think!

This one was just sitting on a log. I guess it finally broke off from the age of it and the weight.

I loved seeing this one! To see that a wild thorny vine had pierced right through this mushroom was fascinating.

But you know what the most awesome part about find all these fungi was?

All of them were on this one fallen tree!

It was on a different part of the trail and I was worried that it would be too muddy to get up close to it but I really lucked out and it was probably the least muddiest spot on the trail.

I'm so happy that I took a very brief detour to get a closer look and found this beautiful bounty of fungi! 💖
