Too Much in the House When Trees "Exploded" on the Street.
We live globally now. Almost the same, all over the world. What the artists, the politicians, the athletes did not succeed ... a small virus succeeded. He managed to make us fear and try to protect ourselves in the same way. Whether we live in China, Italy or Bulgaria. Romania in my case.
To stay locked in the house, this is the main recommendation everywhere, in every locality in this world. I admit it is a wise way to avoid getting sick and even if it seems like the easiest thing to do, it really isn't!
Because whatever is required is hard to bear!
I forgot about any precautions and went for a short walk on the streets near the house. Almost deserted streets give us courage and confidence that are least likely to meet someone with the virus.
Indeed, the trees exploded with flowers. Most white flowers.
When I saw the flowering trees I thought they were covered with snow. So many small flowers piled on the branches of trees.
In the suburb where I live there are many trees on the streets. Especially fruit trees, a kind of plum. This is the main attraction of the neighborhood, the greenery. Less pollution because of this.
Not only the beauty of flowering trees takes us out of the house but also the smell of flowers. It is a perfume close to "Amarige", a famous French perfume, a bitter odor of almond.
Walking on these deserted streets, so beautiful because of these flowering trees, I think of what happens with Steemit.
The appearance of HIVE. The fact that we will be in two different blockchains at the same time. That we will have to choose and I wonder if we will choose correctly! We do not know if everyone is aware of these changes and how much they will be ready to act immediately. What will be the reaction of Justin Sun, because he must have a reaction, to act somehow? Now there are many unknowns, but I like that it happens. Something is happening and it's exciting! This is, in fact, a confrontation between the hardships of the two blockchains, the ones with the highest interests. Those like me ... it really doesn't matter. Even if it is said that we are the ones who matter. This is my opinion and of course, it can be totally wrong. Hope it is wrong!
What expectations and hopes do I have? I do not know if I understood correctly but if there will be two identical blockchains then surely there will be competition between them. There will be concern that each will want to attract members from the other. That would be an advantage, a great advantage to ordinary members. Again ... I hope it happens that way. If Justin Sun will have an interest in keeping Steemit alive and developing it, and if HIVE will be successful and improve over the old Steemit variant.
Tomorrow will be the big day. I wait with hope!
The end will be with flowers. Whether it will be good or not, a flower is required. That's for those who believe in #alwaysaflower, a move proposed by @dswigle.

How beautiful!! The spring is alive with hope! It gives me great hope that the year will be a good one, that which has started with an odd winter with no snow and warm, to the new owner of Steemit, to the demise of life as we know it.
Will it be better? Worse? Or merely different.
Because I have but a small voice on here, the only thing that I really feel are the effects of such moves. I will be looking forward to the good that all of this produces, like the flowers in the spring, I will be blooming where I am planted.

Thank you, @dswigle (I like Denise more). In order to forget about these events we have to focus on the beautiful and the flowers provide us with a beautiful gift.
As for the future, I see that you started with power down. I try to go after you too, I also pressed the button. I see no change, I hope I did well?
It takes 13 weeks to power down everything. This ensures that massive power-downs will not crash the site without notice.
I wasn't sure what to do, but, if it is the wrong thing, it is liquid steem and can be powered right back up without penalty. So, it was a safety measure on my part.
You did well. I am disheartened by all the drama on both parts, but, I hope that in time, perhaps we can all get along with each other. I can remain optimistic, right? There are people that are posting on both, such as me, JJ and the old guy and many more and probably will for a while. It is also nice to start out being the old guys somewhere, right?
We will survive, Dan. @bluemoon. Don't worry, I prefer Denise too. :)

I think you are right. Also, I will try to post on both sides ... it is good that we are not forced to choose now.
They will never force you to choose. Most of us want to get away from the drama, but, I want to make sure I don't lose any people in my challenge that may have stayed behind. I imagine I will pull up stakes eventually as I have a hard enough time keeping up and your replies are done separately.
But, we will do fine.
