The Art of Plating #3: ‘CENIL’ Tapioca Flour Cakes With Brown Sugar Sauce [Step by Step Tutorial]
The traditional name of these cakes is CENIL. At first, glance seen served as a dessert. But in Indonesia, we enjoy these Tapioca Flour Cakes for breakfast because they are filling and sweet.
This time I will try serving CENIL on a serving plate. I didn't make this cake myself, but I bought it for a merchant who passed by my house every morning.
I bought CENIL which is red. But actually, this CENIL has many appetizing colors.
First I tried to put CENIL on a plate with a round mold. At first, it looks good.
But the next step was beyond my expectations. After removing the round mold, CENIL failed to form a beautiful formation and looked like a fox building.
Upps, I think I failed this time. Look at the main form of cluttered PLASTIC plating.
Then the final stage I poured little by little. Huh, maybe the end result is not as beautiful as I imagined. But finally, the simplicity of plating has always been a helper to circumstances.
Simple plating with a white plate is a way to save many unexpected things during plating.
We just need to make sure the white plating plate is stain free of food ingredients.
