Una mano ayuda en tiempos de crisis

Hello, everybody! Welcome to a new post. First of all, receive a warm greeting from me, dear community.
Para nadie es un secreto la situación de mi país Venezuela, hace unos días mientras revisaba un poco mi teléfono, me encontré con una de las informaciones más valiosas, estaban buscando personas con disponibilidad y ganas de ayudar para llevar comida a personas en situación de calle, o simplemente personas que ameritaran un plato de comida. Muchas veces observamos personas, y quizás por su vestimenta o manera de hablar pensamos que no tienen necesidades, les confieso que la mayoría de las veces que pasa esto, es lo contrario. El hambre que se puede ver en las calles es sumamente abrumador.
La dirección era un poco alejada, sin embargo me emocionó bastante el proyecto, tenía tiempo con ganas de ayudar a los más necesitados, llegar a personas que realmente están llevando todo esto del confinamiento aunado a la grave crisis económica fatal, pero uno nunca encuentra el momento adecuado, o quizás la información correcta, una fundación dispuesta a ayudar sin ningún prejuicio. Sin embargo sabía que este era el mejor momento para sumarme a la iniciativa.
Siempre digo, si uno puede lograr una sonrisa o un brillo en la mirada de alguien, ya lo es todo. Son cosas bastante sencillas pero que dejan un corazón lleno.
The situation in my country Venezuela is no secret to anyone. A few days ago, while I was checking my phone, I came across one of the most valuable pieces of information, they were looking for people who were willing and able to help bring food to people on the street, or simply people who deserved a plate of food. Many times we observe people, and maybe because of their clothes or way of talking we think that they do not have needs, I confess that most of the times this happens, it is the opposite. The hunger that can be seen in the streets is extremely overwhelming.
The direction was a little far away, however I was quite excited about the project, I had time with the desire to help the most needy, to reach people who are really taking all this from confinement coupled with the serious and fatal economic crisis, but one never finds the right time, or perhaps the right information, a foundation willing to help without any prejudice. However, I knew this was the best time to join the initiative.
I always say, if you can get a smile or a gleam in someone's eye, that's it. They're pretty simple things but they leave a heart full.
La casa fue prestada por una familia que tiene bastante tiempo llevando a cabo la labor, llegan a distintos lugares, con diferentes comidas con la finalidad de prestar una mano ayuda. Al llegar ya habían comenzado a picar las verduras, todos los vegetales se lavaban para ser picados en finos cortes. Recuerdo que no sabía muy bien la dirección y personas cercanas a la casa, me indicaron muy amablemente el camino que debía seguir, diciendo: "Ellos siempre hacen comidas, sopas o arepas para repartir" Fue bastante motivador saber que aún hay personas sin ningún tipo de interés, que simplemente buscan ayudar de manera genuina.
Inmediatamente los conocí y me di cuenta que las palabras que aquella señora me había dicho, eran completamente ciertas, dos hermanos dirigiendo como hacer los cortes, se dirigieron a mi para explicarme el procedimiento, así que efectivamente me lave las manos y comencé manos a la obra.
The house was lent by a family that has enough time to carry out the work, they come to different places, with different meals in order to lend a helping hand. When they arrived they had already started chopping the vegetables, all the vegetables were washed to be chopped into fine cuts. I remember that I did not know very well the direction and people close to the house, indicated me very kindly the way I should follow, saying: "They always make meals, soups or arepas to distribute" It was quite motivating to know that there are still people without any kind of interest, who simply seek to help in a genuine way.
I immediately met them and I realized that the words that lady had told me were completely true, two brothers directing how to make the cuts, came to me to explain the procedure, so I actually washed my hands and began to work.
Empecé picando algunas ramas y zanahorias, llegué un poco tarde así que ya no quedaban tantas verduras por picar. Cuando todas las verduras estaban en las ollas listas para cocinar, solo quedaba por limpiar el lugar y esperar que la comida estuviera lista para dirigirnos a repartir.
I started by chopping some branches and carrots, I was a little late so there were not so many vegetables left to chop. When all the vegetables were in the pots ready to cook, all that was left was to clean the place and wait for the food to be ready to go.
Finalmente a las 12pm (hora del almuerzo) Estaban listas las 3 ollas de sopa, nos dirigimos al centro de la cuidad, con la finalidad de llegar al mayor numero de gente posible.
Por la cuarentena las horas de acceso son restringidas, así que las calles estaban un poco solas, llegamos a la plaza, dónde sabemos que un número medianamente grande se reúne para conversar y que en su mayoría son personas de bajos recursos o simplemente personas en situación de calle, y el resultado fue increíble, las 3 ollas estaban en un camioneta con tolva, poco a poco veíamos como la gente se acercaba, cuando decíamos: Hola, feliz día. Quiere una sopita?
Las caras? Indescriptible, las personas se acercaban con cara de asombro, y al mismo tiempo felicidad. Muchos llamaban a otros cerca del lugar invitándolos a comer.
Algunos de los comentarios que llegué a escuchar fue: Dios escucha a quién lo llama y Dios nunca abandona la calle.
Si les digo la verdad, fue una experiencia inigualable. Muchas veces somos tan egoístas que solo pensamos en los problemas de cada uno, al salir a las calles vemos que nuestros problemas son mucho más pequeños de lo que en realidad queremos aceptar. Estoy segura que en el corazón de cada persona aún hay bondad, salir a la calle y vivir este tipo de experiencias te cambian por completo.
Que afortunados somos las personas que tenemos salud, que tenemos nuestra familia con nosotros, un techo dónde vivir y comida. Sabemos que nuestro país atraviesa un situación bastante complicada, pero nunca habrá una excusa para dejar de ayudar teniendo la posibilidad. Sé que muchas personas en este momento están sufriendo, pero hoy les digo no con la mayor experiencia en el tema, sino como persona, que este tipo de acciones, no llenan el bolsillo pero llenan el corazón, y un corazón lleno es algo que no se compara con absolutamente nada.
Sean agradecidos con todo lo que tenemos, si está en la posibilidad de cada quién ayudar es maravilloso. El mundo entero está en busca de personas más humanas, más nobles, más sencillas.

Finally at 12pm (lunch time) the 3 pots of soup were ready, we went to the center of the city, in order to reach as many people as possible.
Because of the quarantine the access hours are restricted, so the streets were a little bit lonely, we arrived to the square, where we know that a medium size number meets to talk and that most of them are low income people or just people in street situation, and the result was incredible, the 3 pots were in a truck with a hopper, little by little we saw how people were coming, when we said: Hello, happy day. Do you want a soup?
The faces? Indescribable, people were coming with a face of amazement, and at the same time happiness. Many called to others near the place inviting them to eat.
Some of the comments I heard were: God listens to those who call him and God never leaves the street.
To tell you the truth, it was a unique experience. Many times we are so selfish that we only think about our own problems, when we go out to the streets we see that our problems are much smaller than what we really want to accept. I am sure that in the heart of each person there is still goodness, going out on the street and living this kind of experience changes you completely.
How lucky we are, people who have health who have our family with us, a roof over our heads and food. We know that our country is going through a very complicated situation, but there will never be an excuse to stop helping by having the possibility. I know that many people at this moment are suffering, but today I tell you not with the greatest experience in the subject, but as a person, that this type of action, does not fill the pocket but fills the heart, and a full heart is something that cannot be compared to absolutely nothing.
Be thankful with everything we have, if it is in the possibility of each one to help it is wonderful. The whole world is looking for more humane, more noble, more simple people.
