Mis libros favoritos / My favourite books.
Algo podemos hacer durante la cuarentena / Something we can do during quarantine.
Taking advantage of this quarantine I began to review my library where I have several books, select the ones that I liked the most and I share here my opinion and a very brief review of each one, for lovers of reading I can recommend that you look for these books and read them because they are great.
Reading a book helps to further develop your imagination and distract the mind, which is perfect for these times since there is not much to do at home, in my case I like to read novels of various types, but above all suspense, terror or much drama.
Parte de mi biblioteca/ Part of my library.
I will present you these 5 books.
This is my favorite book so far, I really love the story written by
Dean Koontz this fabulous novel called "Lightning" is full of mysteries and time travel, you even get so into the story that you can not stop reading, the story revolves around a girl named Laura who goes through many unfortunate events, but Luckily, it has a mysterious “guardian” who in one way or another, always tries to take care of her. However, there are many dark and dangerous beings in this novel who little by little, develop a story that can be confusing if you do not pay attention. This novel also show us the subject of time travel and the paradoxes that this can cause.
Written by Haruki Murakami we have “Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage” It is the story of a boy who is somewhat lonely since in his youth he had friends but these friends moved away from him for no reason, years later he meets a woman and begins to feel something for her but this feeling reminds him of his past so he decides to remove his memories and meet his friends again to find answers about years ago when they stopped talking to him.
Isabel Allende gives us this wonderful novel called "The city of beasts" this book is about a young man who goes with his grandmother on a trip to the Amazon, they decide to do this excursion in search of a giant beast, they are also part of history a shaman and the protagonist's traveling companion.
Among various events the story develops a lot of adventure and fantasy where we can explore places as wonderful as mysterious.
A story by John Katzenbach "The Psychoanalyst" This novel is of psychological suspense, tells us the story of Frederick Starks and as he has been anonymously threatened, his despair leads him to cunningly engineer anything to avoid dying or that his loved ones are killed because of this anonymous psychopath who threatens him, the story is very good, it always keeps you in suspense and wishing you wanted to read more and more, and the development of the characters is excellent. It is a fairly long book and it can be very useful when you have nothing to do, I assure you that you will want to read more.
“Eleven minutes” by Paulo Coelho, tells the story of a young woman of Brazilian origin who is hired by a businessman who promises her a wonderful future in a new job. Maria had a dream of having a lot of money and also wanted to be famous, however Little by little, history changes Maria's future and she enters the world of prostitution. This book shows us the change that the main character is taking and as he faces each situation with more rudeness, this story shows us the life, sex and consequences of the decisions we make.
These are the books that I like the most and that I will probably read again in this quarantine if I get some free time, we have to support reading especially in this situation so we can make time go a little faster.
¡Until the next post friends!
Hola, alexa.art.
