My Neighborhood Watch #61 - Reporting Events Around us

As far as human exist, challenges are inevitable either way (good or bad) in this week neighbourhood Watch organise by @xkool24 i will be telling us about DRIVERS RIOT/PROTEST SEEKING JUSTICE FOR THEIR COLLEAGUE

It was one cool evening when we learnt that there's protest between truck drivers and a body of tax force called (ENVIRONMENTAL TRANSFORMATION COMMISSION) known as ENTRACO in IMO state Nigeria.

What transpired was that according to their law any truck or container passing through the state capital must pay a particular sum of money to obtain a ticket as PASS. SO this drivers prove stubborn by not stopping when he was asked to do so according to the above union.

This driver was beating to coma due to the trauma that day by this bad boys referred to themselves as the head government of the State, So in hearing about what has happened to one of them, the drivers now put call across to their head office and were asked to block all existing route's of the state capital by their general in command of the union.

Because that's is the only means to reach the governor direct or indirect, reaching this morning army people came with their own problem commanding drivers to clear roads to an extent of brutality. They also shots and burst some tyres still the roads were not yet clear because no where to turn and opening the roads stand as the only option.

This leads to high tension and panic as road users were all stranded and denied access to their various daily activities. Some people with perishable items lost a lot of money in the cause of this incident because they can't reach their destination as expected.

This incident bring lots of lost to some people while some gain from it. People going to their offices, business places and work places all pay double the initial transportation fare, reason being that transporters has to follow alternative routes to get everyone to their respective destination. While the transporters gained from the incident by taking advantage of current situation to charge them higher because that's the only option they had at the moment.

This draw the attention of the state government to intervene. We also gathered that the state minister of roads and work's and state minister of transportation were all present to address the issue. They also bow to pressure on the demand of drivers Union in accepting to pay all the damages caused by any unscrupulous elements.

It's further noted that the driver in coma has regain his consciousness before every issue was attended to and their demands were meet by the state government before all blocked roads were made open to ease movement in the state.
