Writing Contest: Friends And Family In Business

in Steem4Nigeria2 years ago

Have you seen that poster that says "No friends and family in business"? You've probably seen it in any store, alongside "No credit today," and you'll think maybe tomorrow you can come take credit, but tomorrow the signage is still standing and it's never taken down, so there's no friends and family in business and no credit every day. Everyone in business understands how painful it is to lose money, especially when people are unkind. Everyone has a soft spot, but that kind gesture may bring the business to its knees, just like constantly lending out money with no guarantee of repayment.

Friends and family are terms used to describe people who are close to you. They mean a lot to you at some point, and you also mean a lot to them. To you, they are irreplaceable, and you simply want to see the relationship improve over time. Looking back in history, there are only two things strong enough to break years of friendship, I mean, those guys you always see together and it feels like they can't live together. Love and money are the only two things powerful enough to break it easily.

I don't want to spend too much time on love, so I'll jump to the money topic. Based on the topic, it's clear we're talking about improving our finances, so I'll quickly drive there. In terms of love, two best friends who are in love with the same guy or lady are likely to compete, a competition that will ultimately hurt one. Accepting defeat and remaining friends requires a very mature mind, because the average human would feel embarrassed and inferior, and in order to gain back ground and prove your worth, fights are bound to break out. The easier path is silence and acceptance, but this is my friend we're talking about; do you want him to mock me?

Money is without a doubt the next major force capable of breaking any form of friendship. I suppose the movie industry has already done justice to this claim by showing us countless movies about betrayals and backstabbing all for the sake of greed and money in general. Everyone wants money, and everyone needs money; it has a strong grip on the world today.

Come on, be sincere, how serious are you about repaying your friend? Have you not hoped and dreamed that he or she will tell you not to worry about paying back? If a stranger and your friends both call you and demand that you pay them back immediately, and you only have enough money to pay one of them, which would you likely pay and which would you ask for more time? Of course, your friends would have to bear with you, regardless of whether he needs it urgently or not, because that friend would not embarrass you as the stranger would, or, let me rephrase, that friend should not embarrass you, because history has recorded some bizarre twist in which the best friend turns bad. Lol.

Okay, let's keep going; what happens when that friend has no choice but to keep harassing you into paying back, and you can't? Allow me to assist you in thinking deeply. Sometimes the mind begins to suspect something is going on, especially when you believe the friend does not need the money back and is simply being mean to you. Why won't you just extend the time you've given me? Why can't you just do me that one favor? This constant pressure would almost certainly result in overthinking, then disappointment, and finally anger. Finally, you're pushed to the limit and must find a way to repay the loan regardless, because that friend is persistent.

Already, this feeling creates a rift, you now bear this in mind, he begins to hide how he or she enjoys her money, because you'll say, so you can't lend me money, but you can enjoy at a restaurant, but you can buy a car, but you can spend on your girl, in fact almost all regular spending would force you angry, the friendship is on the verge of fully collapsing, meanwhile you forgot that you swore to repay and that friend Now he or she is the enemy, it's time to pay what you expected, change the contract, of course they'll ask for their money, it hurts them more that way. Now he or she is the enemy, it's the due time to pay what you expected, change the contract, of course they would ask for their money, it hurts them more that they can't use their hard earned money as they should and that money has caused a fight with their best friend. Who is wrong?

As the one who needs the money, it's important to learn to take that close person seriously. If you say you'll pay on a certain date, make every effort to meet up. Better yet, be transparent, and let them in on your progress to ensure you compensate him or her for the good gestures. Never give the impression that because he is your friend, he should understand and wait until you are ready; this is taking the person for granted. Have you ever walked into a store and seen the signs "No friends and family in business?

When that friend comes to borrow, he or she is not thinking about the fact that this act is generally dangerous to friendship, but you know and can save it before hand by preparing your mind. What have you got to lose? In other words, if he or she can't pay back, you can easily extend the time or forget about it completely without a fight. However, if they require more than you can comfortably spare, it is strictly business and you must be prudent.

You can never be too sure about your friends, but if you're willing to take the risk for friendship, you can. But make sure to explain the significance of the money you're releasing. If you don't trust the person, I recommend you decline. Even if he or she is trustworthy, it is dangerous to give up more than you can comfortably spare. However, it is your decision; money is not ruled by emotions; therefore, be prudent with your spending.
