I honored her Invitation..!
It looks like what I attended today is different from what I thought it will be. Like the heading mentioned…”Ï honored her Invitation”….whose invitation..? We would find out soon.
“If you are not informed, then you are deformed”…, fortunate for me, I was informed on time. I am talking about the invitation that was extended by @eliany some days ago about the free medical outreach in their Hospital here in Uyo.
Perhaps you missed the announcement she made, you can read it below through the publication I shared.
It was worth visiting there for some free medical checkup and treatment. Medicines were given for free as well.
The doctors are top experienced Medical Doctors from the UK, US, Australia and Nigeria.
The free medical program is done yearly , but this is just my first time of attaining.
The organization called Imabridge was created 15years ago and the aim was to carry out humanitarian activities.
It is owned by Mr.Godwin Asukwo an indigene of Akwa ibom Nigeria who have stayed in the U.S for many years.
Much of their Information can be found through their website ...https://imabridge.org/
When I got there, the crowd were over 400 and more people were still coming.
I managed to take few photos of the scene at least the best I could in a moderate way.
I guess what really helped me to be a little faster in the process of seeing the Doctor, doing test and getting the medicine was because @eliany is their staff and she was around.
She was able to tell me the steps to take at each interval even though she was extremely busy with her duties.
The hospital is filled up with all hospital necessary accessories that can help in case of emergency.
To be frank, I don’t know the names of most of those equipment, I was Just admiring them.
Perhaps @eliany will write a publication on that hopefully and about other activities that is carried out there when she is chance.
She is presently busy with the hospital activitie duties.
Each day, she attains to at least 200 to 250 patients, that’s a lot of work. I just witness that today.
And i must say, i respect medical personnels alot. They actually put alot to save lives.
And they are very time conscious !!
They deserve our respect.
Looking at the crowd today and how they were all eager and curious to receive treatment gave me a long thought about charity.
The program is a charity program, and they have spent millions of dollars to get all the medicine, the lenses, surgical equiupments etc.
They got that through donations from various kind hearted individual.
There is going to be free surgery of any type carry out by top medical practitioners from the above listed Countries.
I heard surgeries will start from tomorrow
In other to maintain proper decorum, securities were made available in the premises.
Normally, I would have spent nothing less than 170USD if I was to pay for the services I have received today.
Each of the test I carried out are expensive, Maybe I wouldn’t have afford it but I did it for free here today including all the tests and the medicine.
I want to thank @eliany for passing such a good Information.
I believe other steemians here in Uyo have visited there or are planning to visit there too.
Should you miss attaining this, please kindly contact her through the contacts she provided

I long for such medical experience, just that it's so unfortunate that it didn't hold in my city.
Thank you for sharing with us about your experience. Indeed your title was catchy.
Yeah, It's unfortunate. Maybe if it was in a closeby state.., it will worth visiting.
Or if there was any seriouse case.... it would have still worth visiting.
