Hello my fellow steemians. How was your weekend? Today is Monday 13th, so we're starting a new week. I'm grateful to God for a wonderful weekend. I'm so happy to be a participant in this awesome contest. This is one of my favorite competition. I have to acknowledge @bebton3 for organizing such an interesting contest. It will help sharpen and enhance my drawing skills because I will make sure I continue in the subsequent ones. Secondly, it will help me read vast and expand my learning horizon. Have you ever seen one?

I have seen Rhinoceros several times but it will shock you to know that it's always in movies and television documentaries. I also seen them in wildlife TV channels.
I have not had the opportunity of seeing it in real life. But I guess if I want to see it then I can just go to Cross River State national park. It's located in Akamkpa local government area. I heard they have so many species of animals down there. I can just visit there to feed my eyes with nature and wildlife.

What type of animal is it?

After a little research and finding I got to know that a Rhinoceros commonly abbreviated to Rhino, is a member of any of the five extant species of odd-toed ungulates (perissodactyls) in the family Rhinocerotidae; it can also refer to a member of any of the extinct species of the superfamily Rhinocerotoidea. Two of the extant species are native to Africa, and three to South and Southeast Asia. They have a herbivorous diet.
This animal is commonly found in Africa.

What are its characteristics?

Here are a few features of a Rhinoceros.

+. The Rhinoceros is an animal with powerful good sense of hearing.

+. It has poor eyesight. It can discern a moving object more easily than a stationary one.

+. The Rhinoceros is known as the second largest land mammal

+. The Rhinoceros has a heavy, stocky body, Limbs and feet, short neck and large head.

+. It has two horns. Positioned on the rostrum, one in front of the other.

+. The Rhinoceros is almost hairless, except for the hair fringes on the ears and tip of the tail.

+. They have good sense of smell just like hearing.

@destinedhanik how is my drawing? I know you won't draw often anymore due to school resumption. I must acknowledge your drawing is always beautiful. Please try and create time for it. I don't want to miss seeing your works.
