Goal setting is the process of identifying the end product, which an individual or a group wants to achieve in a particular work or activity. In as much as this is very crucial to the progress of the attainment of any person in terms of career and personal growth, it means it helps in tracing one’s foot steps on the journey to self realization. It is also a common practice to make short-term goals and long-term goals, to achieve which objectives are determined in a formal way, action plans are developed and performance is evaluated.

Thus, the immediate targets can be defined as objectives accomplished in the context of the nearest produces, the short-run, or during several weeks, months, or a year at most. These are as important as the end goals because they help keep people motivated and also give immediate tangible results at every personal journey towards sustainable goals.
In contrast to the long term goals or targets that are planned to be achieved in a future time which, may require several years, may be a life time or even more years. These are the individual’s biggest objectives in a career and may take time, hard-work, perseverance and passion to achieve as well as dedication towards learning.

The biggest priorities are those that reflect one’s personal and/or professional beliefs, interests and desired future state. These are goals that are most likely to produce the biggest results in someone’s life and probably enable and inspire others. Choosing one’s top priorities means self-searching, thinking, and readiness to devote attention to oneself.
Question: What are your plans and ideas as a small business in the year 2025 short term and long term and how do you plan to achieve these goals? |

In 2025, I have some important specific short-term objectives regarding personal and professional working progress, which are strictly connected with career promotion and personal growth. One is to achieve an advanced certification in respective field to show engagement towards learning and development program. This will require taking time to learn about other programs and the providers such as conducting some research on the kind of programs that are available, the level of examination that one is supposed to take, and final working hard to study the subjects that are required for development of the programs. In addition, I will pursue the job of getting to the top level of a prestigious company through networking, building the professional persona, and finding the opportunities for being mentored as well as for increasing the vast amount of knowledge of the field.

In terms of one’s long-term objectives, the goals are primarily a set of personal achievement oriented objectives. My ideal and expected life in 2025 will be rich in proportional and satisfying career, family and friendship, and healthy work family interface. It is going to involve constant and productive reflection and reevaluation on both my personal priorities and belief systems and the attitudes and behaviors that lead to adaptability, and establishing and practicing the ability to muster improvements in all physical, psychological and emotional aspects of one's health. Further, I would like to have finished a self improvement course that would reinforce my quality as a human being by increasing my compassion and understanding.

For this reason, goal setting, therefore, remains a dramatic process that enables people to live their personal and professional life in complete satisfaction. Explaining a difference in short term and long term obje noctives and analyzing high priority goals can enable people to make a plan of accomplishment and happiness.
For the year 2025, my goals are; To have an advanced certification, being in a leadership position, finding purpose and balance in life all of which entails highly focused determination, learning and perseverance.
