Weekly preview: working as an house keeper (15/2/2025)
Hello everyone, im greeting u all from this global,I hope u all had a blissful day ,I'm one of u here,I go by the name@rossybabe ,I will be sharing with u all how my years working as an housekeeper was,so stay turned. At times life happen which can probably lead to where we normally can never wish to be , this was exactly what happened to me ,u all know when u come from a family that is not financial stable,u know what sure family face.
so it's wasn't easy with my family at a time I decided to determine that I will transfer to work for some one after my secondary school,my mum insist on my decision saying I should stay that she doesn't want a child to go and suffer in the name of money, that she have heard so many rumors how house hels are being treated so badly, so I started pleasing with her that my own case will be different, and I'm also going there to work for the sake of my future and the family,I was saying all this in tears dropping from my eyes and deep down in mei was beginning to curse poverty for dealing so bad with us.
So my mom later accepted that I should go and the rest of the family members too but all were shedding tear that they will all miss me but honestly I was going to miss them cause I love my family so much, So they work me Down to were am supposed to book a bus down to Benin city cause that is where I will be heading to,so fast forward to Benin ,I got there safely through the direction they gave me to follow to I can meet my uncle u stay there at Benin,he then pick me up from the park and off we went to his house.
Fast forward to the search of work for me , My uncle start searching for work for me since I don't want to leave with him learn a trade that rather I want to work for now and get paid, He search and search and search until he make a man who does employment for housekeeper, that means he is like a chanel of distribution,he is a middle man, he received commission for getting u a housekeeper work and also received commission from the person that need the housekeeper.
Through him my uncle was able to secure one of the job for me,the job come with criteria that I must leave with my boss, Omg me way no even know this people before, how am I going to copy with them, imagine with a full family of father, mother and Three children and they are all strangers to me , without waisting must the amount to be paying me was mentioned, that is 10k per month and the the will be going to my sister's account cause I never had an account by then.
I started living with this people for like one week but still scared of them,I was working from morning till night no rest, unless I want to eat ,I mod ,clean every where, prepared the children for school, take them to school and come back and continue my Job from where I stop , after theat I will prepare myself to go-to the shop cause my madam has a shop where she sell baby's things ,mmmmm ,the work load on me was too much for 10k ,at times I sit down and begin to cry ,note I do all this job alone when the husband is not at home, but when he is around ,my madam does some of the work by herself to fulfill what she told me when she came to pick me at my uncle's place, in her voice," u will only be helping me with some simple things while I will be doing the hard ones my self cause I don't like suffering some one child, Thanks for reading through, please I will continue my story in my next post cause I'm already crying as I'm writing this.
