The Dairygame 26th July, 2022 - Visited My Academic Mentor [Burnsteem25 & 100% power up]
Hello Steemians, I trust we are doing great today. I'm here again to walk you through my diary post and I hope you enjoy reading it. Today, I spent most of my day at my supervisor's place. He is a Catholic priest who just celebrated his 10th priestly anniversary.
This morning, I woke up as usual around 6 am for morning prayers. After that, I went ahead to log in to Steemit for curation with sc09 and Steem4nigeria's official account. I spent less than 2hours working on Steemit before I made a post on my blog.
I have been procrastinating to make a cryptocurrency weekly report to analyse the current situation in the crypto market. I was able to do that in the morning and I was glad I made the post. Hopefully, this analysis and crypto report will be coming out every weekend. You can check out the cryptocurrency report for the last week via the link : Cryptocurrency Report
It took some hours to make the report. Making the post requires obtaining data from Coingecko and Coinmarket cap and also carrying out a technical analysis on BTC/USD. After that, I called my supervisor to know the time he will be around. The meeting was scheduled around 3 pm, I was able to use the little time left to lol at my course.
The current topic covered everything about interacting with CSV files on python. Reading, writing and parsing CSV files were also covered. After the course, I prepared to visit my supervisor at the parish. He is a Priest and also an engineering lecturer.
He is not just my academic supervisor, but also my academic mentor. We have been able to work on so many projects and engineering research back then in school. I was opportune to have a journal paper with him. I have a lot to write about him but that will be in a different article.
The main reason I came around was to help install and update Anaconda on his computer. Also, to help register for a course in data science. He never gets tired of learning even in his old age. We spent time talking about projects and career paths in Machine learning and engineering. He is passionate about his career in technology and I'm lucky to have a mentor who inspires and motivates me to pursue my goals.
After a long conversation with him, I left the parish around 7:30 pm back to my friends place. I was already tired when I got back. I took shower and slept off. But before going to bed, I was able to log in to Steemit again to curate posts with the official account of @steem4nigeria.
This is my diary. Thanks for stopping by.

You are welcome boss
Nice diary dear, learning never ends and that's why we should not get tired of learning.
I love your mentor's enthusiasm for learning and from your stories I've learnt that just being around him can spur one to keep aspiring for greater heights just considering his age as an elderly person.
