Free writing:'Singleness vs motherhood' 30/08/2024

Fellow steemians, Nice meeting you once again. For a while,I have not posted anything due to unavoidable circumstances that posed distraction to me. Sometime in June,I suspended all my daily routine and began to reflect on my youthful age,how I easily got what I wanted from parents,siblings and friends without stress. I was depending on people around me to survive while presently,people are depending on me to survive. 'singleness vs motherhood' what an experience!

As you can see,I have nothing to worry about then,because I get whatever I asked without delay.

But today,the children's future alone in a country with high level of economic instability,can make me think.
Ill-health conditions of any of my parents,siblings,in-laws or husband,can make me think.

And experience has taught me that,as a married woman all your beauty is meaningless if you have nothing to contribute in your husband's home or your community.

As a mother,your parents you used to depend on,will become your dependant relatives,
Including your kids.
You are expected to offer moral and financial support to your husband,if you wish him long life.

As a mother,you will gradually disassociate yourself from certain calibre of your single ladies(friends) and make friends with more married ladies as to learn how to cope in your marital life.

I am not saying that you will abandon all your single friends,'NO' you will crave to know how the married ones survive their marriages by making friends with them.
Reason being that you have stepped up to another level of reasoning.
However,if by reason of your nature or your husband's choice,friendship is forbidden,do not keep friends for sake of peace.

As a mother,you will think of how you will be of a great value to your husband, children and the society.If you are a trader,civil or public servant,try and learn a skill because the only thing your girl child can easily inherit from you is your skill.

For instance,my husband does not buy any already made cloth in the market for me,all the clothes I and my children wear,I sew them myself including panties.

Secondly,there is confectionery I am currently working on,which I will share with you in my next post.
Thirdly,I get some token from steemit as part of my support in the family and lots more.

Therefore,My humble advice goes to all single and newly married in this platform to think of what to offer in marriage from this time,plan,work towards it and you will achieve it,together we build a better home and community.
