What is your definition of "Home"

I try to check the difference between a home and a house because I feel it means thesame but there is a little bridge of difference. A house could be a building roofed over a person's head, a house may belong to an institute given to you for a period of time. I see house as just a mere word given to a building or a shelter.

I see the definition of a home in a different perspective. I can say a home is a dwelling, a peaceful and comfortable place that makes one happy. When I say I am going home, it means I am going to my comfort so I want to say that home means a place where comfort, joy and peace is found.

Have you been away from home, Where exactly was it?

When my father was still alive and things were really good for us, I was once away from home. I was admitted into a boarding school and it was from there I knew the difference between a home and a school. The difference was clear because those freedom and comforts at home were not there anymore, it was never a funny experience.

Being away from home is a very bad experience although, it makes us strong, learn and disciplined. Being away from home was never joyous for me and whenever resumption is near, I feel like crying loud to say I am not going back to boarding school but at that time, I had no choice.

What was your experience like...interesting, boring, maltreated, loved etc...Kindly share with us.

The experience was never interesting, was never lively, never enjoying but loved. The point where I know it was a loved experience because I realised that my parents needed that other phase of life for me, they wanted me to be disciplined and trained from a different source but I never regretted experiencing a boarding school life.

Seniors beats for no reason, food was not enough to eat as that of the portion of food dished for me at home, even when hungry, no one would care, I just had to get used to that life and that is why I can stay from morning till around 12 before having breakfast because I became used to that life.

If you're given another opportunity to be away from home to the same place you visited, would you go? Give us reasons.

At my present level and age, I cannot go back to same place unless a different place entirely because I was later picked from baording school to a day school so by God's grace my Waec will be written in my present school, I cannot go back to that school again.

Unless for my younger ones and I wish there is a way to admit my younger ones into any boarding school at all for them to learn to be disciplined at all cost. I never regretted going there at all because I am more wise today because of the place I was.
