My personal perspective about courtship

What is your understanding about the word courtship?

Courtship refers to a stage in a romantic relationship that was initiated by the man with the consent of the woman, whereby both parties are aiming at building strong and intimate relationship, with mutual trust and understanding which will eventually lead to marriage.

Most courtship often lead to marriage, unless otherwise.

How can people in courtship maintain a good relationship that can lead to marriage?

Maintaining of good relationship during courtship that can lead to marriage involves so many things which includes;
Spiritual connection, mutual trust and understanding, resolving conflicts amicably, maximum care, attention and support and the overall of them all is effective communication.

Communication is the key to every successful relationship, both family, friends, business relationships etc and of which courtship is not exceptional. So therefore, in order to maintain a good relationship in courtship that can eventually leads to marriage, both parties needs to practice active listening, discuss openly and transparently .

This and many more are ways in which people can maintain a good relationship in courtship that can lead to marriage.

Are there things to be hidden during courtship? If yes what are they. If No back your answers with your reasons.

Transparency and honesty is very important and crucial during courtship, as it is the last stage to marriage.

I don't think there is any need to hide some things from your partner during courtship, be it your past experiences in relationship, your fears, goals, medical conditions, your addictions, family background, financial goals etc. None of these should be hidden during courtship.

Courtship is a stage of total openness, so that the other party will be fully aware of what he/she will be doing into (Marriage). Lack of openness and sincerity during courtship has made a lot of marriages collapse earlier than it should.

Do you think there's time frame in courtship? Explain.

I don't think there is time frame for courtship.

The time frame for courtship differs, every individual has his/her time frame for courtship because we all were made differently, and everyone has what he/she wants and how they wants it. A lot of factors usually determine the time frame in courtship, some of these factors includes; personal aspirations and goals, maturity, background etc.

Is courtship a guarantee for successful marriage.

No! Courtship is not a guarantee for successful marriage, but then it can impact your marriage positively only if the courtship was based on good standards.

Everything that God wants us to do in marriage, he expects us to start it from the relationship (courtship) except for SEX which we are not permitted to do in courtship.

Courtship is not a guarantee for successful marriage, but then if you intend having a successful marriage, ensure you build trust, understanding, and respect each other during the courtship before marriage.
