My Losses in Life
Only lover of dog will understand and feel the pain I want share when I lost my dog , some asked me during the process of mourning my dog if she is human that I will cry like that. Well, this is my story .
What have you lost in life that made you cry or feel distressed? Could be inanimate or animate. Narrate your experience
I have never loved dog the way I loved my Terra , this dog came to my family my children took her very close to them. Whenever I scold my children the dog will cry and intervene by wagging her tail. This show of love made me love her the more. The dog is smart , agile and healthy , I don't fail to give her food . Infact I was so much in love with this dog. One faithful day, we took her for vaccination. They dog came back reaching night we didn't sleep as she was so uncomfortable . I called the doctor to know if it was the injection or something else, the doctor suggested I give the dog paracetamol for the pain relief. It got worst my dog couldn't move her legs. I was devastated. My healthy dog dying slowly.
I googled a nearby pet clinic close to me and I saw one, immediately I contacted the resident doctor from the phone I saw, he came to my house and attended to my Terra I was happy because she responded to treatment the pain subsided , the worst happened in the morning my dog started vomiting and rejecting food. I called the dog to admit my dog for at least three days at the clinic. After spending the money my dog died. Crying. My dog ooooo. That was how I lost my dog from canine Distemper virus. It was treble.
Did you blame yourself for the loss or were you meant to lose that thing? How did the losses affect you?
I don't blame myself because I did the right thing , I tried my best to make sure my dog lived. Unfortunately the virus was bigger than my dog immune system.
When I lost Terra I felt completely lonely. I was glued to the memories I had with her from my phone.
I was feeling guilty, I thought my best was not good enough, maybe there's something I didn't know or do to make sure she was saved from the virus.
I was lost in disbelief. I was always thinking it was just a dream. I kept wondering if my dog could come back to life.
My sleep was denied. I kept feeling unwell knowing that I won't have that companion with my dog any longer.
Were you able to let bygones be bygone or are you still in pain for the loss?
I don't know if I can let bygones be bygones. I'm still crying for the loss of my dog. I wish she will come back. I don't know how to let go of her. I tried replacing her but the doctor advised me to hold on for now so that the virus will die off from my surroundings. Hmmmm.
What advice would you give the public who may have lost something or someone precious to them?
It's not easy to console someone who lost something precious, because the more you console the person, the more she feels the pain. But to help the situation if it's something replaceable you can help to replace it for the person.
Cheering the person up ,by taking her or him on a walk can be of help though they may decline going out if the person agrees it will be a relief.
Checking on the person shows that you care , it can be of help, let the person know that there's someone who cares for her lost.

Wow! That was so pathetic. Sometimes dogs help and get closer to us than humans. This is a good one.
