• INTRODUCTION:

NIGERIA

In the early 90's the name Nigeria wasn't actually in existence , what was in existence was group of civilized nations or should I say civilized kingdom which respects their culture and also understood who they are,till the coming of the British colonial masters which came into Nigeria geographical area to enslave it's people and for the purpose of business.
Actually, Nigeria was named and created by a girl friend of the so called lord lugard as people may refer him as that . the name Nigeria was named by lugards girl friend know as flora Shaw who came to Nigeria with another person's husbay for an exploration. The name was actually coin out from the word NIGER -AREA which was written as Nigeria so it wouldn't look racist because the word NIGER in actual English spelling it's written as NIGGA which means Black of a place of darkness or a place of backwardness.well that's another story for another day, Nigeria gained their independence in the year 1960 and became a republic of its own in the year 1963.
As we all know Most African countries with independence were actually given a mere flag independence which I believe most African countries are actually realising the fact now and wants a total freedom from its different colonial masters countries.

GEOGRAPHICALLY:

Nigeria is suited at the western region of the African map which more the 20 ethnicity and with 3 major ethnic group of YORUBA, HAUSA and IGBO.Nigeria has over a population of more than 200,000,000 people.

• Interesting things about Nigeria.

In every society we find ourselves we always have things of interest and things which doesn't interest us in the society.
In Nigeria as a country they are so many interesting things starting from the Colour of the national flag which displays a very attractive colour combinations of green and white .
Nigeria has many interesting attributes I would be listing below .

CULTURE :

For every society they CULTURE of the people is a things that actually defines who they are ,Nigeria as a country with so many ethnic groups with many different value system has this very beautiful and interesting cultural heritage they all have that people from far and in the country would always love to experience.

RELIGION:

As a country with different diversity and regions they are two major regions ( Christianity and Islam ) these two religion always has a time of celebration that bring the whole nation together as one Africa not minding the Diversity and different value system.

FOOD:

In the whole Africa Nigeria is known as one of the best Country that have very nice food especially our popular NIGERIAN JOLLOF which has gotten so popular not only bin Africa but in the whole world. I advise any tourist coming to visit Nigeria should give the Nigerian JOLLOF a try a see the goodness of the lord.

NATURAL RESOURCES/Mineral resources:

African is known to be a place with many natural blessings from God . In Nigeria, it has a very nice and attractive Natural tourist centers were tourist come to visit , place like THE OGBUDU CATTLE RANCH .( These is a rain forest area that consist of many natural gifts from God that people from outside and in Nigeria wants to visit.
Talking about mineral resources in Nigeria, Nigeria has so many natural resources though our government has failed in the management of these resources. We have resources like CRUDE OIL Nigeria is one of the top 6 oil producing country which has helped for they sustainability of the national funds.
We are also blessed with nice and wonderful agricultural resources which has sustained these Country from the last before the discovery of crude oil .
Nigeria also has Gold,tin which is been gotten fro. In the northern part of the country and many other minerals resources which has brought investors from wide and near the country.from the interesting things I have mentioned above about My country Nigeria I would say what I really find interesting about is the diverse cultures and food because I'm a man of culture as it is been said in my village where I come from in the Eastern part of Nigeria ," A MAN WITHOUT A CULTURE IS A MAN WITHOUT LIFE". Not only that I'm in love with culture but the food and language Nigeria speaks English as an official language but its own created pidgin English English which is being understood by all but rich and poor communicates with that in the aspect of the food I'm a huge fan of THE NIGERIAN JOLLOF like I said before I would advise any tourist who plans in visiting Nigeria any time soon should give a Nigerian JOLLOF try a see the Goodness of the lord .

• NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!!

Yes!! No place like home as many would say but for me I say my home is my first love .if I eventually leave this country Nigeria in search of a greener pasture would I come back?
Definitely yes I would come back ,but the truth must be told Nigerian is actually a place we all love but with the situation in the country right now where the country is at the verge of becoming a failed state with the numerous times of terrorist attacks on a daily basis only a person that is sure with a good security would like to be back at this point in time . But nevertheless I would always wish to be home no matter the situation,our home will always be our home if only we decide not to make it homeless for us.

CONCLUSION:
In conclusion I would say Nigeria is blessed in different perspective and a place where people would always love to visit,if only we and the government in the country decide to make it a home for all.
