Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Today Im taking part in new week challenge Let's show how creative you are:-Drawing - Dog organized by the steem4nigeria Community. Our topic for today is to draw a dog.

Dogs are special animal that come from wolves. They come in all sort of sizes and shapes. Dogs have amazing senses like smell, hearing and sight which make them great for hunting, protecting and being our friends. They're really loyal and love being with people. Over time we use them to help us hunt, herd animals, guard places and even help people as therapy. Now most people keep them as pets but they also work as police dogs, guide dogs for the blind and rescue dogs.

Today I am going to make a drawing of a dog as per the contest requirement. I first look for a white sheet which I couldnt find. After searching for it I take a pencil and started drawing without wasting any more time.

Personally I am very scared of dogs but if I had to choose a breed I would choose a Golden Retriever because they are very fluffy and have a lot of hair on their skin which I really like. Therefore I decided that I will draw it. I am not a sketch artist but I will try my best to draw the dog.

Lets start the drawing. I'll take a pencil and begin by sketching the dog face first.

I sketch its mouth with the pencil and then carefully draw lines to create its fluffy fur. I shaped its nose with attention to detail. After completing the dog mouth I had some doubts about the outcome of the drawing. However I didnt give up and continued to trust the process hoping for the best.

After drawing the face I draw the body. Then I add fluffy fur details making sure the fur looked soft and fluffy like a Golden Retrievers. I took my time to make the drawing look good.

I draw lines and then smudged them with my finger to make a shading effect. This add depth and made the drawing look more real and better. Here is the final look of my dog. Personally I'm not happy with how it turned out. Have a nice day!
