A very hectic day|| it’s my grandmother's birthday celebration.

Hello, amazing community, I’m oluwatimileyin, I welcome you back to my blog. I will be sharing with you how I spent my day. Today I bring to you my diary for the day.

The birthday preparation started on Friday. I went to a catering shop to buy ingredients needed to bake cake. The oven I have at home is bad so I called my friend to inform her I will be coming to use her mummy’s oven. Getting there we discovered that her oven was faulty. It’s been long she used it. She gave me an option to use a charcoal pot. I ended up doing the local method type of oven.

My sister assisted so we mixed the batter together, arranged the charcoal pot, and set it on fire. Honestly, it’s my first time using a charcoal pot. I was left with no choice but to use it. After setting the charcoal pot on fire we poured sand into the pot to prevent the pot from burning and to generate heat before putting in the batter.

When the cake was ready it was late already, we couldn’t cover the cake because it was still hot, so we took it home. I got home tired, rested, and woke up in the middle of the night to do the cover of the cake. I left my equipment in school, I just had to do it the way I could. Although I didn’t like the outcome, but the cake itself was superb. Well, thank God the celebration was between the family.

On the day of the celebration which happened today. My mum’s siblings and cousins came around, We played games, sang, danced, and rejoiced with my grandmother and it was all fun. It’s been a long we had a gathering like this.

In the evening after the celebration, my dad told me to help him cook pepper soap with catfish. The catfish was still alive, so I killed it and removed the dirt. Then I went ahead to cook the pepper soup and served him.

It’s night already, and obviously done for the day. I went to clean up, had my bath, and did my night skincare routine.
