I greetings everyone in this community and the entire blockchain. A special thanks to @steem4Nigeria for organizing this contest. It is much grateful from me to take part in this lovely contest. "No place like home". What an interesting contest.

Open a brief introduction that tells us about your country.

I am a proud citizen of Ghana, it is a peaceful country. Ghana is divided into 16 regions and Greater Accra is the capital town. Ghana has more than 30 ethnic groups and about 50 languages spoken. The main groups are the Mole-Dagbani, Akan, Ewe, Ashanti and Gurma. Each of the above groups have their local food and their cultural practices. Ghana is bordered to Burkina Faso in the north, east by Togo, west by Ivory Coast and South by the Atlantic ocean. Ghana flag has four colours in it,red, yellow, green and black. The red stands for the blood lost during the fight for independent, the yellow represent our golden resources ,the green is for our green forest and the black (star) is the hope of Africa.

Ghana is blessed with a lot of natural resources which includes, gold, timber, cocoa, bauxite and many more. Ghana is the highest producers of gold and 6th in the world. We are also one of the highest exporters of timber. Ghana and Ivory Coast are the highest producers of cocoa in the world. Ghana is also the first African country to get free from their colonial masters in 1957 led by Dr.Kwama Nkurumah. There are three main religions we have, these are the Christian religion with the most fellowship, Muslims the second most fellowship and the traditionalist. In sports, Ghana is the only third country team in Africa to play semi finals in the world cup.

What are the great things that interest you about your country?

There are a lot of things that interest me about Ghana. In Ghana,a citizen has the right to educate, freedom of speech, right to any of the religious groups.
In some places, the rights I enjoyed in Ghana doesn't exist.

The richest culture of Ghana also make me interest. In our ethnic group,we celebrate fire festival, samba festival. With this celebrations every person from our group even from any other part of the world comes home to celebrate this festivals. During this festivals,we cooked, dance, wear new clothes and share a lot of memories of our great king's.
The food in my country also interest me a lot. Foods like T.Z, boiled yam, millet porridge etc.

Damba festival by the overlord of Dagbon with the President of Ghana.

In addition, there are national celebrations that interest me a lot. One is the remembrance of Dr Nkurumah and his official(Founders day), the celebration of the Independence (6th March) every year. The love I have with Ghana is something I can't do away with.

Which of the things mentioned above do you prefer your country for, over other countries?

There a lot of things I mentioned above I prefer over other countries, some of the things are the rights I enjoyed here,my culture and the environment of my country.
We enjoyed freedoms and rights that a lot of countries doesn't tolerate.
The cultural activities to,I prefer it over other countries, because it tells me about my great king and my kingdom came into existence,so with this why will I prefer other countries over mine.
Some of the foods I eat here can not be found in other places.

No Place like home: If you eventually leave your country in search of greener pastures, would you be willing to come back because of response in (3).

Hmmm,I will never in my life prefer to stay in someone's land forever, surely I would go back home. I enjoyed freedom and right.
I can't missed my country,I love the culture of my country that teaches me about my past.
First one is the local food.
Secondly the culture of my country.
Thirdly the right and freedom of my country.

In Conclusion

Ghana is one of the great countries in Africa and the world at large and with the above writings,I prefer my Ghana than any other country.
I want to use this opportunity to invite @lukman1, @anas354 and @savi223 to join this interesting contest.

I suddenly remembered that once your country reached beyond the classification for the first time in their history of worldwide football and the team was a great and promising boom in that moment. Nice entry where you presented Ghana. Success to it.

I have heard A lot about Ghana, infact the are the closest brother to Nigeria.

Ghana is the highest producers of gold and 6th in the world.

Indeed Ghana is a very rich country with very rich mineral resources especially Gold, that's why it's called the black gold of Africa.

When it comes to Africa, Ghana is my second most favorite African football club in my ranking, that's after Nigeria, (that's in my ranking ooo )

Thanks for sharing about your lovely county, wishing you success.

Thank you for rating my country high 🙏
