Here is my entry for the contest organised by @eveetimc3 with the team 'New year New Me'

Is it really important to look back at the past years and make adjustments?

Yes, it is important to reflect on our past because it helps us to know if we are progressing or stagnant in life. If we really want to be intentional about our personal growth and development, we need to sit back and reflect on the past so that we will be able to run some self-scrutiny such as;

• Areas that need improvement in our life and make adjustments where necessary.

• Learn from our mistakes, gain more insights and make better future decisions.

• Acknowledge and celebrate our little wins, so that we can be motivated to do more.

Tell us about the aspects you have adopted changes this year.

One major aspect I have adopted changes this year is by sticking to the plan I had mapped out for myself for this 2025. Though the year just got started, I have ticked one major box already. This milestone is something I have been procrastinating since last year. Thank God, I’m finally doing it. I took the steps below to achieve this;

The first thing I did was set goals I know I can achieve with less stress and sacrifice.

I shared this plan with my family and friends. Yes, this particular one really helped me to stay focused because I wouldn’t want to come off as a noisemaker. And also, my family is there to remind me of this plan I have, helping to keep my dream on the right track.

About the slogan "dey for who dey for you." Do you think people should relate only with those who relate with them, even if it were their family members and close friends?

Every year my beloved country comes up with new slogan hmmm last year was ‘NO GREE FOR ANYBODY’' now its 2025, them say make everybody ‘DEY FOR WHO DEY FOR YOU’* meaning that we should be there for those where there for us during our good and turbulent times.

I honestly don't fancy the slogan because if we only relate to those who relates with us, we might not achieve the desired personal growth we so desire because we might be surrounded with those whom we may not learn a thing or two from, people who are evolving their mindset with the latest trend in finance and tech. if we choose to dey for who dey for us, how do we wilding out and make meaningful connection?

Nevertheless, that slogan can be applicable when we find ourselves in a toxic or parasitic relationship, the kind that saps off our energy and peace of mind.

Do you think as we enter the new year that we are getting older and there should be a change of attitude? Explain.

Of course, we only get older and more mature in reasoning as the year goes by, our experiences over time sharpens our sense of reasoning helping us to become wise and more open minded. This is why there is usually a change of attitude as we age because now, we have come to know better, our priority has changed. Now it's no longer about getting trendy clothes and the latest phone, we tend to focus more on how we can build a sustainable investment, build our family and many other important things.

Are there attitudes you need to do away with this year? Tell us about them and the reasons why you need to change them

Yeah, there are attitudes I need to drop this 2025, and I want to take one step at a time. So, this 2025 I’m letting go of procrastination. Procrastination means I will do it later; I need to acquire this skill but I will start next month. I kept postponing and postponing. This won’t be Me this year, because I already started working on myself late 2023 by enrolling for Fashion and Design. Just yesterday I made payment for a 2 weeks intensive training for the tailoring niche I want to be focused on. (soon y’all will find out).

The Reason why I choose to change is because procrastination makes you less productive, wastes your time, makes you broke and very shameful.
