MY EARLY AGE EXPERIENCE!

When I was 15 years old, my father passed away and my mother fell ill. As her only daughter, she began to worry about me. With my father gone and her health declining, she feared that if she were to die, no one would take care of me or show me any concern. So, she made the decision to arrange my marriage with a man who was 35 years old—a significant age difference.

However, my mother believed that his age would bring more care and understanding towards me, given my young age. Despite having just finished my matric exams with pending results, I agreed to this marriage. But on the first day of our marriage, things took a turn for the worse. He began to scrutinize every little thing I did and would shout at me. Being so young, I was scared of him and would often end up crying. This behavior was extremely distressing, and he even resorted to physical abuse. I endured this silently for three long years. However, one day, while talking to my mom, he started physically hurting me.

I forgot to end the call, and my mother heard everything that he was doing to me. The next morning, she came to my city with her second husband (whom she married after my marriage). They rescued me from this hellish situation and provided me with a place to stay. My mom explained that her current husband was only willing to help by offering me a house, but nothing more. I assured her that I understood her limitations and thanked her for everything. I promised to take care of myself and to work hard without losing hope until I achieved independence. Nowadays, I have started my journey towards success, and I trust that, by the grace of Allah, I will achieve it. In these days, I have initiated a khula case against him, and I am confident that I will obtain it and begin my life securely. It has made me realize that a significant age gap can make life incredibly difficult and painful. Both parties may struggle to understand each other, especially if one is still young and the other is already mature. Maturity usually comes with age, but it's important to remember that not all mature individuals exhibit such behavior. However, in this world, both good and bad people exist. So, it's crucial to carefully consider every step in life and in relationships.
