My regrets and mistakes so far
Hi everyone,
It's another day of the week, and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @ruthjoe, which talks about my regrets and mistakes so far. I will be making my entry below, so read through it and drop your valuable comment, as it will be appreciated.
How many of your goals this year have you been able to achieve? Tell us about it.
In this year 2024, there are many goals I set for myself to achieve but unfortunately not all the goals was achieved and for that reason, I will be sharing with us the goals which I was able to achieve this year.
One of the goals I was able to achieve is here on the Steemit platform. Working here on Steemit I had the target to hit atleast 3k Steem power before the end of the year and indeed I was able to achieve that even though it wasn't an easy task for me but I was able to pull through.
Another goal I was able to achieve is an offline goal which was completing my internship in the pharmacy store where I was learning how to sell and administer drugs. So today I'm only waiting for money to start my own chemist as I await admission to go to school for further studies.
Are there other things you wanted to do this year but was not able to do them? What are they?
Yes, I wanted to start schooling this year but all effort to achieve that proved abortive. I wrote JAMB examination as usual but I scored lower than the previous times I was even writing and that alone disqualified me from going to school.
It was my desire and goal to finish work and then get admission immediately to complements the learning I have done but it wasn't possible because of the mark I scored for this time examination.
What is your biggest regret so far this year?
My biggest regret was not accepting the offer of admission given to me earlier at the beginning of the year because I felt it was a different course from the course I wanted to study. Those who understood took the course and worked hard and later switched but my case I wanted the course from the beginning.
Today, those who made good grades are given 200 level whereas those with poor grade continued in the same field hoping for improvement. In all all of them are still in the four walls of the university but I'm yet to see it.
Mistakes are bound to happen, tell us some mistakes you made this year and the lessons you learnt.
One of the major mistakes I have made is not accepting what I was given when I was given the course to start from there. If only I was this knowledgeable I should have just go ahead with the course and keep writing JAMB or working hard to Switch to a choice of my choice.
One of the lessons I have learnt is that one should always make do with the available option while he or she keeps looking for a better option. When you do this you may never have to regret anything again.
I want to invite @josepha, @simonnwigwe, and @bonaventure24, to join the contest in this community and share their entry participation.

The story you shared is a great illustration of how past decisions can have a profound impact on our future journey. In situations like this, we often feel regret over missed opportunities, especially when we see the results or progress of friends who kept moving forward even though they initially took a different path. But don’t despair—sometimes these regrets are valuable lessons to guide us to more mature steps.
Thank you for publishing an article in the Steem4nigeria community today. We have assessed your entry and we present the result of our assessment below.
