Do you think Age Gap is a Problem in a relationship

Age in relationships has always been a very big problem, especially in African society. A man will not go for the woman of his choice because he is scared that the woman may in turn become older than him in no distance time. Indeed this has been a major problem for many and I will write briefly on it based on the questions here.

What do you understand by the word "AGE GAP" and when can we say there is one in a relationship

An age gap is a situation where both partners are not of the same age grade. Here in Africa, we believe that men don't get old hence women must never be older than men in a relationship because women are like flowers hence they fed away easily.

So in a relationship, the woman shouldn't be of the same age or higher in age than the man because it has been proven that women grow older faster than men. So age gap has to do with the man giving the woman some age difference which will make them compatible.

You see the age gap in a relationship when the man is older than the woman with at least 5-10 years of age. It is acceptable as women still get older than men with time.

Do you think Age Gap is a problem in a relationship?

Yes, it is a very big problem when the age gap is not much. As I have explained earlier, the man should be older than the woman, and in a case where they are of the same age, the woman will become older than the man.

In Africa here people can even mock you and say you married a woman old enough to be called your mother with time. Because as a woman she feds away like a flower.

Does the Age gap have a way of affecting relationships? Explain and give some examples

Yes, it has a way of affecting a relationship. In cases where the families get involved in the relationship affairs, the parent won't allow such marriage. More also, the woman may get older on time as the man may not be ready for marriage when the woman is ready.

If the man is still young and still searching for work and has nothing to feed the family he may not want to go into marriage but the woman always sees that she doesn't have much time any longer hence she will want to just get married. In that case, the relationship can be affected.

Is there any age you are not comfortable with? If your partner has such a gap above you,

Yes, I don't want a partner that is much older than me. I want a partner that I'm older than with at least 5-10 years. In this way, we all grow older together. She won't grow old and leave me as a man.

Most times, that is what is recommended in relationships here in Africa because women get older faster than men. But with these age limits the relationship will be very beautiful.

What should be the normal age gap in a relationship?

I have stated that above but for more clarification, let me still explain here. In every relationship, the age gap between the man and the woman must be 5-10. This means that the man must be older than the woman by at least 5-10 years before we can say it is a perfect relationship age.
