"My regrets and mistakes so far"
Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed "My Regrets and mistakes so far" as part of my participation in this 👉contest organized by @ruthjoe
How many of your goals this year have you been able to achieve? Tell us about it.
I begin this year with a lot of goals to achieve some I have achieved and some I am still hoping to achieve If I am unable to achieve them, then surely by the grace of God I will achieve them in the coming year.
Talking about the goals that I have achieved this year, then I will begin by mentioning my Steemit goal which is achieving more than 35k Steem power. Earlier this year, I made a promise to myself that I am going to achieve 35k Steem power above and I am happy that I have even achieved more than 35k Steem power which I am now heading towards achieving 40k Steem power.
Relocating to Abuja. Last year, I made a plan to relocate to FCT Abuja, which I told myself that it wouldn't pass this year which I finally did, but later relocated out of FCT for personal reasons which you are going to know why. Hahahah 🤣.
Starting my professional exam. Since I was in school, my goal has been to become a chartered accountant I told myself that I begin the process this year despite all the challenges that I faced I didn't give up on achieving such an incredible goal which I have registered and passed the first stage of the examination currently in skill level and hoping to be in the professional level (final level) next year.
Are there other things you wanted to do this year but were not able to do them? What are they?
Yes, there are a lot of things that I wanted to do this year but we're not able to do them due to one reason of the others. Let's keep the reasons aside and just look at the things that I wanted to do this year but we're not able to do them as I have shared them below.
I wanted to travel overseas this year, but we're not able to travel.
I wanted to work in an accounting or auditing firm so I could gain experience but was not able to.
I wanted to visit my hometown (village) and spend 3 months so I could get acquainted with people at home but was not able to do it.
I wanted to start a business, but was not able to do it, and others which I cannot share here.
What is your biggest regret so far this year?
My biggest regret so far this year was the mistake of relocating to Abuja and enquiring about the best and most affordable place to stay. Since I was so eager to relocate to Abuja I went and rented a place that is full of crimes and criminals and I ended up losing my phone and spending even more than my budget. I regretted my actions and decisions that I took in a hurry I could no longer withstand the lifestyle of relocating out of Abuja for the main time.
Mistakes are bound to happen, tell us some mistakes you made this year and the lessons you learned.
I made so many mistakes this year and neither did I regret my mistakes, because of the lessons that I learned from the mistakes. My few mistakes for this year are:
Failing to scam. There was a telegram that I was in which I saw people buying crypto so cheaply without knowing that everyone in the group was scammers that I got scammed of my hard-earned money.
Not saving. Instead of me to be saving money for unforeseen circumstances I didn't save I was busy spending on.......... I didn't achieve anything in the end. Had it been for the money I spent getting unnecessary things invested in this December I would have been a big boy.
Lessons
I have learned not to trust anyone who chats me up online for business and who claims to be nice.
I have learned how to save money to meet up with unforeseen circumstances.
I have learned the lesson of taking good care of myself before anyone.
I am inviting: @dove11, @simonnwigwe, and @ruthjoe
