Name of the App And a brief history of it.

The name of this App is Bamboo App which was launched on the 31st of January 2020 in Nigeria, by two co-founders Richmond Bassey and Yanmo Omorogbe in their quest of finding purpose and alleviating poverty in Nigeria and Africa in general. Sourcing a platform where everyone can invest and grow their wealth within Africa and the diaspora. Their aim was to create a platform where Nigerians can easily trade with the Nigerian stock market and the foreign stock markets with their internet devices from their geological locations. Secondly, to boost the economic system of companies in Nigeria. Thirdly, citizens who don't know where to invest can invest in a company's stock and thereby boosting the economy.
All these and more were challenges they encountered since there was none suitable in Nigeria and Africa.

Category of the App and Where it can be downloaded

This App falls within the category of Crypto. Although, to my knowledge there is little difference between the crypto market and the stock market. Crypto has to do with currencies while the stock market has to do with buying or owning a company(i.e buying shares) in trading the stock market you own a part of that company through the shares you bought.
In using the Bamboo App, one is allowed to invest in stocks, ETFs(Exchange Traded Funds), invest in Fixed Return to get 8% annually on your investment, and more.
The Bamboo App can be downloaded from the cloud store and play store for Android devices.

The feature i will be discussing in the App with detailed steps.

I will be showing you the simplest way to invest in a stock or buy a stock. Using the pictures above and below, after registering with your valid documents, you will fund your account to get started of which your fund will be converted to USD, which are all simple steps.

HOW TO BUY A STOCK

Click on Invest

Click the "Invest" tab close to the "Home" tab if you haven't bought a stock before.
After clicking on the "Invest" tab a list of stocks will appear for you to choose from, there is a search engine at the top if you have a particular stock in mind.

Click on Buy

After selecting your choice stock, below is a green tab indicating buy. when you click on buy, a list of options like; Buy Now, Buy when price decreases; Buy when price increases. Then you will specify the quantity of stock you will want to buy. If a stock cost $3, and what you need is two of that stock. Then you will input $6. A breakdown of your purchase will be shown to you including the commission information on a receipt. Below you will see a tab indicating continue purchase. After clicking on it, you've bought the stock.

Comparison with other Apps in the same category and what distinguishes both.

Yes, I have also compared it with another app in the same category called TROVE what distinguished them is the ease of accessing the buy option as there is no INVEST tab but a search engine located at the top.
Secondly, is the additional features. On bamboo, one can't change to various chart views either candle sticks or the use of lines. Also, there is more information on the trove either to buy, hold or sell.
Thirdly, their commission differs and their exchange rate most times as I have observed.

Conclusion

Since the stock market is quite promising and the Bamboo App has a better interface and security, I prefer using it to other stock trading Apps I know.
