Before you were introduced to Steemit, what digital or physical work did you base your income on?

Before I was introduced to Steemit, I had no digital work as a student then, and the physical work my income was based on was the part-time teaching job I was doing in the school where I did my teaching practice. Besides working as a part-time teacher, I was holding extramural classes for primary and secondary school children and tutorial classes for students in my school.

I was into this physical work to help myself survive in school which was not easy for me, because of lack of commitment when it comes to payment of my salary or students paying their lessons fees. Sometimes after closures from school, I may not rest as I have to attend to those who came for lessons which was hectic for me.

Have you been a victim of online scams? Is Steemit a breakthrough?

Yes, I have been a victim of online scams before but I see Steemit as a breakthrough for me. There was a platform my elder sister who is in Abuja introduced me to that if I should invest like ₦5,000 would get ₦10,000 after two days I joined the platform and invested ₦10,000 hoping to get ₦20,000 To date I haven't received my money not to talk about what I invested.

Ever since then when I lost money to online scams, I stayed away from anything that has to do with online investment for long, until I was introduced to Steemit which has been a breakthrough for me.

Do you prefer writing on Steemit for a month in your home to working under someone for a month under duress?

The truth is I love a soft life and not a life in which I will be killing myself for someone for a peanut and enslaving myself simply because I need money. I would prefer writing on Steemit for a month in my home than working for someone for the month under duress which I won't have time for myself or my loved ones.

Writing on Steemit for a month would even give me far more than what I may be paid to work for someone under duress if I am serious and dedicated to Steemit. Also writing on Steemit would give me peace of mind, rest, and time for me to do other things.

Has Steemit made you a bit more independent financially than how you were? If yes or no, how and why? Explain with reasons

Yes, steemit has made me a bit more independent financially than how I was before. Before I used to hustle so hard and depend on my parents or my boyfriend for something that I like, but today I no longer depend on anyone before getting what I need for myself.

As of last month, I bought a new phone which 80% of the money was the money that I generated from Steemit whereas 20% was part of my savings, which if it were before wouldn't have been possible for me to buy a new phone as I would have to wait for my parents or boyfriend to support me first.

Imagine your life without Steemit and tell us in 3 sentences as the concluding part of your post.

  • I wouldn't have bought a new phone so early in my life without Steemit, with Steemit buying a new phone became possible in my life.

  • Without Steemit I wouldn't have gained knowledge about cryptocurrency blockchain and gotten to know people from different parts of the world my life with Steemit has helped me to know what I didn't know before.

  • Without Steemit in my life where would I have gotten money to invest in cryptocurrencies if not for Steemit? I am grateful to the Steemit team and all Steemians.

I am inviting: @woka-happiness, @dave-hanny, and @jasminemary
