The Diary Game // Sunday 26 - 01 - 2025 So stressful and hectic day but happy at last by @Gracyakan
Hello Everyone!!!
She woke up in the morning by 5am I thank my heavenly father for keeping me alive and went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast since I was on call duty and I needed to leave early, so I quickly cook porridge potatoes before everybody woke up by 6am for morning worship the food was done. When we finished, I parked my own in the food flask for my launch and drank my lemonade that morning, take my bath, prepare and left for work by 7:45am, see how I look.
On reaching my work place by 8:15am I changed to my working outfit ready and waiting for work to come. By 9:30am they brought a booking list for neurosurgery to commenced by 10:30am so we started preparation, removed all the drugs that we will need, did our machine check to be sure it's functioning well, check our oxygen cylinder for oxygen and kept everything in place and be ready to receive our patients.
By 10am I ate my food because the surgery will take like 6 to 8hours.
They brought the patient to the operating theatre by 10:45am, we did all the preambles, set lines for the patient and rehydrated accordingly, pre-oxygenate sedate, induced and intubated, put the patient in anaesthetic machine, connect monitor to monitor the patient vital signs to be sure of her general well being through out the surgery.
The surgery started by 11:30am, the surgeons, the Peri operative Nurse, circulating Nurse, the Anaesthetists and Technicians were present all concentrating on their work.
As a responsible Anaesthetist the life of the patient at that moment after God almighty was in our hands so we needed to be very careful, at a point the patient condition got bad, we were running up and down to make sure we do not lose the patient, thanks to the almighty God, the patient became stable again after resuscitation, the surgeon continued with the surgery till it ends by 5pm, the surgeon and all others left the theatre suite.
We the Anaesthetist remained with the patient to woke her up, she finally woke up by 5:20pm after given some drugs, we extubated the patient and suctioned very well, the patient responf to calls, grasp something, raised the head, vital signs were within normal range, we took out the patient to the recovery room by 5:30pm then I left to Christian meeting though I was late but at least I did not miss all and I was refreshed and happy because my patient came out of danger and did not die.
We closed meeting by 6:45pm with song and prayers then we greet one another with love and I left home with my family on reaching home, I have my bath eat, stay with my family small and watch movie before I went to bed and sleep like a baby, so what a hectic hat a fulfilled day.
