in Steem4Nigeria2 years ago

Introduction

The Steemit team from the new update about the community curators for October, there was an introduction of new development in the teams, this was themed "Team Millionaire", who are focused on contests organized across the platform and I have the opportunity to be one of the new team assigned to this role. And today, I will like to share a guideline with you as regards Team Millionaire.

About Team Millionaire

I believe the new development was inspired by how much contests have helped many users to remain active in the ecosystem, the Steemit team has identified this and even the tremendous result of the engagement challenge, and how it has fostered activeness all contributed to the new development. And this time, contest organizers have a chance of getting more visible in the ecosystem.

It's a development I highly welcome and quite aligns personally with its aim and establishment. I have identified that it is naturally a bit hard for some users to come up with articles sometimes and what about helping them with a curriculum that gave birth to the project I initiated in the Steem4Nigeria community months ago, Steem4Nigeria Accelerator, where we have scheduled topics for different days to improve users' activeness and creativity.

That said, the effect of contests on users' activeness on-chain is quite immense as such the new introduction of the team that handles contests goes a long way to encourage contest organizers and even draw more to contribute to their communities through quality contests.

Tags Required to be Visible

Tags are very important on Steemit which makes it easy to locate articles by their categories and for adequate visibility of the contests you have organized for the Team Millionaire, you are expected to utilize some tags which would be discussed in this section.

  • We have some main tags you are expected to utilize, I often regard the main tag as the selling tag and in this case, we have a few, ensure you include #contest, #challenge, and #steem-contest in your articles for it to be easy to locate by the team.

  • Do not forget to add your club status tag, that is #club5050, #club75, and #club100 (based on which one you belong. Creating unique content on Steemit requires you to add the #steemexclusive tag, so don't forget that as well.

  • In addition, do not forget to add your country tag (for example, #nigeria). It's worth noting that you shouldn't be involved in vote-buying, that is you shouldn't be using a bid bot.

Distribution of Votes

There is a standard for the percentage of upvotes received from the community curators as such we have set some for our activities for this month, one of which is mostly determined by the quality and the club status you belong to. In addition, your participation in the #burnsteem25 initiative opens you to receiving extra percentages. Let's see the standard below.

Club CategoryGeneral Upvote (%)#burnsteem25 Upvote (%)
#club505030%35%
#club7540%45%
#club10050%55%

You can see that an extra 5% was added for #burnsteem25 participants as such I'd invite you to join the initiative. In addition, we would be giving upvotes to quality comments and the percentage for that would be between 5% - 10%, so ensure you give quality comments on contests organized across communities.

Team Millionaire Curation Schedule

The team consists of 6 curators from different countries and we would be working all week round to ensure that adequate contests are rewarded. It would be great to show you our schedule in the table below.

DayCurator Assigned
Monday@inspiracion
Tuesday@franyeligonzalez
Wednesday@fredquantum
Thursdays@irawandedy
Friday@kouba01
Saturday@monz122
SundayThe duty would be alternated between members weekly

The curator for the day would be leaving an adequate comment on your articles after giving an upvote.

Conclusion

In conclusion, your quality contests are given more opportunities because you have been identified to be of great contribution to the ecosystem and Team Millionaire would be looking forward to seeing you continually coming up with valuable contests. Do not forget to pay attention to the guidelines.

I hereby invite the community to play their parts in coming up with solid contests and as eligible individuals, we hope to see your contests too. Thanks for reading and #steem-on. I appreciate the Steemit team for the opportunity once again

Nice update from your team. Thank you very much.

It's my pleasure. Thanks for reading, @lavanyalakshman.

Thank you so much for this very important guidelines sir. At least your team has tags to follow other teams for this month as directed my @steemitblog, something some of us hate so much.

Ahm.... Please what's the meaning of this ' on Sunday'

The duty would be alternated between members weekly

The question you asked is quite simple. Note that we are talking about curators' schedules in that section and what the statement means is that; The curatorial duty for Sundays would be rotated between the curators.

Grabbed. Thank you so much

Interesting, kudos to the Steemit team for coming up with this idea so as to support Contest organizers in their efforts and keep users active on the platform as well.

My question is ; The support , is it for contest organizer's or it's applicable to contest entries as well?

It's mainly for the contest organizers across the platform. Thanks for your time, @badmus-official.

Alright Noted, thanks for the feedback.

I'm excited to see how this innovation by the steemit team will go. It seems like a brilliant one.

Thanks for leaving a comment on this today, @oguzvic.
