My Neighborhood Watch #35 - Reporting Events Around us

Hello community watchers, I'm here again. Do you know that no single day passes by without an event or happening in your community? Oh yes, keep watch and you'll see that with me.
So observation around my neighbourhood, I've noticed that almost all the schools in my community both private and public schools organise "inter house sports." Have you noticed same? Do you know that most schools have inter house sports in second terms because of dry season? And that the sporting events are ongoing? Schools in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria are on inter-house sporting events.
So, the news around is that the school I'm teaching took her turn today. It was a beautiful event indeed. You needed to see how children, even toddlers competed in one activity to another.

The staff and parents were not left out in the sporting competition. I mean yours truly with two kids ran and took 3rd position in the staff category, amazing. An amazing one is that my mentor, one of this senior community members on Steem4Nigeria, who is our parent also competed in the parent's category. Ma'am, @ngoenyi, I believed you when I saw yoy in the race. Well done!
It wasn't only that, I saw some of the top members and newbies on Steemit on the event ground as they came in support of their children, friends and siblings. One of them, my boss, @bossj23 himself was present at the event to support his brother. It was a great joy to see them after the December, Uyo Steemit hang out.

To let the rat out of the bag, my house the "Glory House" (red house), came 3rd in the entire competition. Amazingly, we came first in the football match and in other three games then we came second in match pass.
We would have been the first or even second but most of our competitors didn't show up. Two of our children were sick and one hospitalized that's why we lost in some of the games that was why we had no option than use others and those who weren't even trained.

The most happiest and fulfilling thing here is that the event was successful, no accident, no evil report as we all returned to our homes safely.

Iit was a great event. You guys did great in organizing that superb inter house sport and congratulations to your house for emerging 3rd place. Steemians were everywhere there. I am glad to run as a parent too. I wish you success in your entry
