Ways to achieve great success - Lesson from experience

How do you feel about consistent success? It feels good and amazing.
This is how I have felt this period. It's been from one success to another.

The whole story started when I went to the National Youth Service Orientation camp, Obubra.

It has been the pattern that each person should belong to a platoon. I was fortunate to belong to an amazing platoon. Platoon 9 is known all over the camp to be the winning platoon. We won many competitions and I was extremely happy.

After the camp, I moved straight to a family house where I could settle down before going to my accommodation.

A few days later, the zonal president announced that we would be having a football match with the Catholic Corps Fellowship. We were excited about it. We just needed victory and it was time again for me to rejoice about another victory. We prayed and practiced.

At the end of the match, we came out victorious. We were so much happy and it was a great one for me.

Of all the things that happened during this period, I learned a great lesson from it.

• Do not joke with preparations
One thing I have learned over these times is the power of preparation. Anybody who lacks adequate preparation is just planning to fail. No matter how simple the task might be, do not fail to plan. Planning makes room for improvement and helps in determining great success.

•Never disguise an opposing party
Never think any opposing party is weak and as a result, you start resting. The result will amaze you. No matter how small they may be, always be ready and on guard. They may look few and weak but possess great strength that could bring victory.

• Never walk in fear
One of the tools of failure is fear. No matter how gigantic the other party may be, approach them with courage and determination. Never allow fear to grip you so much that you think you can't achieve success with your opponents. Receive courage and see yourself walk in victory.

•Never boast about your capabilities
Never think you are too good to fail. That you have been winning does not guarantee that you will win again. Do not boast but be humble enough to allow God to do his thing.

God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourself despite what and watch your victory come unto you.

•God gives victory
Only God can give victory. It's not about being too good or weak. Always involve God factor in all you do and allow him to give you victory.
