Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 78:What I do when I don't feel like Blogging.
Have you had this kind of experience, where you lacked the strength and interest to blog?
Oh yeah to be honest I have definitely experienced that several times and there have been a times when I just couldn't muster up the energy or motivation to blog and sometimes it's like my brain would go blank and I'd be stuck staring at a blank page 😀. But sometimes, life gets in the way and other priorities take over other times that's the truth, I just feel burnt out and need a break and to me it's totally normal, I mean, even the most passionate bloggers need a little push or inspiration sometimes and i understand that it's all about finding that spark again and getting back into the groove.
Do you think it's normal? If yes/No, why?
As I already said absolutely to me it's normal! All human beings experience variations between high and low periods and corresponding changes in energy levels as well as motivation levels so being mentally exhausted from blogging tasks is natural since the activity involves considerable brainpower. The unpredictability of life alongside unexpected events which disrupt our plans makes stepping away from obligations a completely regular response and it makes complete sense to pause our blogging activities and regain energy before returning when we feel ready.
Taking periodic rest periods results in improved mental strength and creative abilities after returning to our work. Feelings of detachment along with lack of motivation toward blogging happen to everyone at some point, me for example.
How did you overcome it ?
To me when it happens to me the process I normally use to overcome this blogging slumps is by self-care combined with both thinking about my situation and planning ahead, like taking time to recharge my energy levels combines with maintaining self-care before coming back to work through blogging. So I normally spend time with friends or somethings physical exercise like taking a walk around the street to help me recover.
And I make efforts to uncover the primary reason behind my slumps by checking for burnout and inspiration levels or other factors. I attempt different writing formats alongside searching new content avenues and establish achievable timeline and objectives also, so taking time to step back and reestablish my focus normally leads to the recovery of my creative inspiration.
Thanks for reading my post I'm inviting @chant, @bela90 and @goodybest to participate in this contest.
