CONTEST: Opportunity Comes But Once...

Good day everyone, I know you are all well and good,
I thank God for the the writing contest being conducted here on steemit cause it helps to carry everyone along and also helps each one to know how good he/she is in passing massages, Teaching and writing.

Also I thank the mods and admins who has been responsible for providing us with such contest.

This is my entry and I assures you that you would never regret reading either from here or from other contestants who I trust will write a quality content also.

This week starts with a well titled contest. Opportunity Comes But Ones. yeah the title it's really appealing. So let's discuss from the guidelines

DEFINITION OG THE WORD: OPPORTUNITY

Simply in my own understanding the word opportunity is a kind of luck or lest say lucky chance that someone recieve in a particular time.

We can recieve opportunities in many ways. Sometimes as a kind of help from people around you... We can also be opportuned to be a participant in an event that happens once in a while. And many more ways.

OPPORTUNITY COMES BUT ONES

This is one of the most commonly used statement around us all, it is expected we all may have heard and said it to people. Many people employs it in either an advice or motivational speech, you know many people today wants to be motivational speakers, so most of them uses the statement.

•my thought and perspective about the statement

Regardless that this statement is one of the most commonly used statement and also believed by many people, cause people easily believe all kinds of things, including the ones that are made just toscare them. I still don't believe it, yeah.

I declare that this is just a statement and there's no meaning behind it, unless, it in other ways mean something I don't know.
And that is because people today and even then comes across countless oppurtunts and so many people makes good use of it when they have it.

So Opportunity Comes to us many times and not just ones in a lifetime. Though it is understandable that this statement don't just mean that Opportunity Comes ones in a lifetime, when you look at the meaning the other way you will be able to get it that it means Opportunity Comes ones in a while, so I thinks this is the real deal, but due to the level of understanding many people believe it comes ones in a lifetime based on the statement Opportunity Comes But Ones.

•my stand

To take a stand on the article writing with this statement, I say no. Opportunity don't come ones....
So I also want my listeners or readers to understand with me why I say no to this statement and don't make use of the statement when talking to people around me...

THE STATEMENT, IS IT MISLEADING

This statement looks motivational and sounds quite good when you want to use it to advise someone, a friend, siblings or children. It's helps so many of them to make good use of their opportunities, yes. It helps them to notice an opportunity coming towards them, yes.

But this statement too have mislead many today... When it come to life and decision making. Many parents have used this statement too much on the children, and they did it because they love them. Looking at the statement it is correct, but the problem is making people to understand the real meaning that it's not ones in a lifetime but ones in a while.

Many girls today have gone in to wrong homes because they think opportunity comes ones in a lifetime, and they think that maybe the rich guy in test is going to be their only opportunity to get rich. And many more people have gone into fraud and made countless bad decisions because if it.

And because of the reasons I stated above, I have disagreed to believe that statement.

IF YOU WERE TO REPHRASE THIS STATEMENT, WHAT WOULD THE NEW STATEMENT BE

This statement on its own is correct and don't need to be changed, but on how we understand it here it needs to be changed to make us understand it better and don't make life mistake ever again.
We all comes across many opportunities and we miss most of them even some pottential ones that have come to us. Opportunity sometimes is a chance to change one's life. But regardless we don't need to let go of everything we have to grab this opportunities, and some times when we do so we also miss this opportunities, so it's unwise thinking it comes but ones, yes it does but it's ones in a while. Cause if it is ones in a lifetime, God himself won't allow us to miss our ( OTO)- one time opportunity.

So if I'm to suggest a change one this statement, it will be a little change which will also be based on the main or original statement.
So if I'm asked I will say opportunity comes ones in a while.." yeah it's true that when you make use of this some youth will be too relaxed in so many things, and will also miss opportunities more than expected, but when this is used, they will be able to understand that even if they miss the potential opportunity at hand they will still come across other ones, because youths today does some kind of crazy things, some have killed people because they cause them miss an opportunity. Some have committed suicide because they miss an opportunity.

So in the world today, many things are happening, lets be carefull how we advice , counsel and talk to people so that we wont be blamed for their failure or cause them to embark on a bad and difficult journey.

                           CONCLUSION

May we all be careful with ourselves, and be guided, without making mistakes we won't ever be wise, so don't think it's the end of your life when you miss an opportunity, rather keep trying and learn from your mistakes, notice why you miss the previous opportunity and how to approach the ones coming next.
