2024, the Best or Worst Year so Far?

Good day my fellow steemians. It is a pleasure to engage in this contest. Every year can either be a person's worst or best year, a year where he or she had bad moments, accomplishments,losses, gains, bad regret achievements and the likes. 2024 is not my best year neither is it my worst year, but I am grateful to God that with all the obstacles I scaled through to 2025.

As I mentioned earlier 2024 is neither my best or bad year The reason is that I had a lot of gains and a lot of losses I will start by mentioning a few of my gains and achievements this year. Earlier this year I gained admission to study nursing science in one of the best nursing schools in akwa ibom state which has always been my dream and I was among the five people that passed the PTS preliminary training session exams with an award of cash prize.

One of my accomplishments is the completion of a book I've been writing for 2 years now despite the obstacles and discouragement I faced while writing the book. The title of the book is "My life story" which will be published on wattpad
this year 2025

Also, last year I was given my first phone which was a gift by my brother and mentor bossj23. It was one of my best gift that year which I was so thankful for. There are more reasons why 2024 was a good year but the ones listed above was among the best.

Now to my bad moments last year. On the 15th of October 2024, I got sick with typhoid fever and malaria type b one of the deadliest type of malaria. I was admitted in the hospital for 2 weeks it was a terrible experience for me, the medications, pains and the money spent on drugs injection and the likes was a lot for me. It was my first time being admitted in the hospital.

It wasn't easy for me. But I gained strength praying to God everyday, support from my family and friends etc. Last year too, I lost 2 close people in death. It was a traumatizing thing for me. The first was the death of a friend, senior colleague and male nurse. He died of leukemia. He was just 20 years old and was in his final year. His death touched all and sundry. The second was the death of a brother, mentor and family friend.

He died as a Young and hearty man leaving a young wife behind. The last bad moment I'll be mentioning is the day I got scammed. It was a fateful morning when I received a call from my bank unbeknownst to me, it was a scammer. I was asked to send my bank code because they wanted to verify my account. After sending it, I was debited with the amount of 100000 naira to an unknown number which was my school fees I wanted to pay that day. That was when I knew I was scammed. I was frustrated at the moment. It was one terrible experience for me.

My year didn't end badly and steem price didn't contribute to making my year end bad. My year ended on a good course , entering the new year with my complete family, no sickness, no deprivation of health but with good health and blessings. Before the year ended, I withdrew some of my liquid steem and bought snacks and junk food for my siblings and cousins.

And I enjoyed a loving organization with my Christian brothers and sisters at the convention which was held at the Godswill Akpabio international stadium Akwaibom state. It was indeed memorable.

I'd say both ways. My responsibility and by chance too. Like my experiences earlier, It was my responsibility to study hard to be able to study nursing science in that institution and it was also my responsibility in the completion of my book . As for by chance, the sickness and the scam wasn't intentionally done by me rather it just happened and I've learned to be more careful and smart in all endeavors.

I've made some achievements which I'm proud of some was earlier mentioned. On steemit,I was privileged to introduce and mentor two students on steemit, not without the help of my mentor bossj23. Physically, I completed a book which will be published January 2025 and won the award of one of the best student of the year.

My first plan is to publish "My life story" on wattpad which will go viral and people will subscribe and read the story which will serve as a lesson for some and touch the lives of others. As a student nurse, I'm going to organize health talks in the hospital closer to my school, free of charge for young girls. This health talks will be based on the physical, emotional and reproductive lives of this girls.

I will also gift them with some sanitary stuff. There is a popular saying that "givers never lack". No matter how you're giving whether it is physical, emotional or support, there is always a blessing awaiting you.
