Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 33: Mother's Love; a time to celebrate and cherish

Hello everyone,here is my entry for this contest, it's coming in late because I experienced serious network issue this week, since I already had it written down,I just have to still participate. Am glad to participate in this contest, hope you learn something good from my post.

IN YOUR UNDERSTANDING, WHO IS CONSIDERED A MOTHER AND WHAT ARE THE DUTIES OF A MOTHER?

In my own understanding,I will say a mother is one who nutures, organize and takes care of her children and family. Someone who can sacrifice thier all. The term mother can never be over emphasized, it's so much encompassed in one person. The place of mothers can never be replaced in this world. I didn't under so much until a became one.

The term MOTHER is not a title it's a person, a responsibility, a life. And I think mother's should never be taken for granted. I appreciated my mother more when I myself became one. Mothers are sacrificers, nothing beats that.

Duties of a mother:

Mothers take care of thier families.
Mothers take care of thier children
Mothers guide and guard the home

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE SACRIFICES MOTHERS MAKE FOR THEIR CHILDREN?

Like I said earlier mothers are sacrificers. They can sacrifice thier all for thier children. No right thinking mother abandones her child.

On this day I was up all through the night

Sleepiness nights. When a child is born, the first 2-3months after delivery, are periods when mothers go through so much to see thier child is fine. There are night when she has to stay awake all through the night because the child is in pain. She has to breastfeed her child in pains too. Nobody talks about the.part where breastfeeding can be painful too. And this continues till the child comes of age.

Mothers can sacrifice thier own meal for thier children. They go on empty stomach,just for thier children to eat and be full. The cry of a hungry child is not something to experience.

Mothers are patient. Nothing tests the patience of a woman than her child. She endures so much and wait for the child come to an age of understanding. Children will test your patience.
These are few compared to the many sacrifices mothers make.

HOW DOES A MOTHER LOVE SHAPE A PERSONS CHARACTER AND DEVELOPMENT.

There is a saying that love covers all things, endures all things. It's only love that has the capacity to change a person. Like I said earlier,mothers are patient. They know thier child behaves in a certain way, they are patient, they teach and correct,they apply discipline where necessary to shape the life of that child.

Mothers are teachers, they teach in anyway possible,for the growth and development of their child. All these done from the stand Point of love. A mother's live can never be underestimated. it does wonders. I think this is the reason why mothers are celebrated all over the world in a special way.

The presence of a mother in her child's life is all that child needs to grow and become a better person, because only mother understands her child. This does not remove the place of fathers in the life of thier child. For today the emphasis is on MOTHERS.

HOW CAN WE CELEBRATE AND SHOW APPRECIATION FOR OUR MOTHERS AND THEIR LOVE?

Mothers are celebrated widely all over the world, because nothing takes the place of mothers. I think mother's should be celebrated every single day. The sacrifices are just too much. Me for example, I have to wake up every morning,as early as 4:30am to make food for my son's lunch, prepare him for school,give him breakfast,Hubby helps in bathing him. I still have to prepare myself for work, after work by 5pm, I still have to go pick him up. When I get home I make dinner and all the work that follow suit.Its not easy at all.

I think one way we should celebrate Mothers is not by just saying it and posting their pictures, that's ok too. But I think we can do more,like buying them gifts, celebrate thier special days,like birthdays , giving them money, taking care of thier physical and emotional needs, very necessary, because these things are been over looked. And say thank you to them for all thier love and sacrifices, because they never end.
