2024, the Best or Worst Year so Far?

Happy New Year to all my fellow stemians! I hope you all celebrated the new year in good health. I am glad to share with you how 2024 has treated me and my plans for 2025. I thank @bossj23 for organising this contest. It affords me time to ruminate over what has happened from 1/1/2024 to 31/12/24. I began the year 2024 well and expectant but the end was not what I expected. I shall be sharing a little of this experience with you.

Would you say your 2024 is the best or worst year among other years? Include reasons.
The year 2024 was the worst year for me. We began the year with very high expectation and good plans trusting God that all will be well. Things were working well until 10th August 2024, when my mentor and Father, Rev. Dr Samson Kyune Chuga, passed on. I was with him on this day until 3pm when he asked me to go and rest. At about 6:30pm he started his car to visit a family and make arrangement for a funeral service of their beloved wife. Unfortunately, he was attacked by asthma on his way and died shortly after reaching the hospital.
Rev. Dr. Chuga Samson is a father and mentor to me as I have said earlier. He was my pastor and the vice CAN chairman of our dear state Nasarawa state. He is a philanthropist and the founder of Chuga and Friends Foundation. His death took us unaware and threw us off balance. The year 2024 is a year I will never forget in a hurry. Every good thing that probably happened to me is watered down by the demise of my father and mentor Rev. Dr. Samson K Chuga. May his soul continue to rest in peace.

Is Steem Price part of the reason your year is about to end badly? Include other things that contribute.

Steem price is not part of the reasons the year ended badly for me. We thank God that toward the end of the year, the price of steel increased.
Another factor that made 2024 a bad year was the transition of leadership that brought in Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinibu as the president of Nigeria in May 2024. This transition of leadership has brought serious hardship to the citizens of Nigeria, and inflation engulfs virtually all commodities by 100%, 200% and others by 300% and above. Survival at some point was as good as committing suicide. But thank God that we are still alive.

Do you think you are responsible for making your year bad or good or does it just happen by chance?
I am not responsible for making the year a bad one for me. Death is inevitable and there was no way I could stop the death of my Father. Similarly, I can never say that I am responsible for The rate of inflation in Nigeria. These two, among others, made the year 2024 a bad one for me.

What achievements are you proud of making this year? It could be on Steemit or physically.

I was introduced to Steemit in April 2024. The effort I put into this platform and the success or achievement I have made so far has made me proud and has given me joy. Some of the achievements I made on this platform are:

• My skills in art, craft and creativity have improved greatly
• The Steem I have acquired so far is reasonable enough.

What plans have you put in place to ensure 2025 won't be a year to regret?

The plans I have put in place to ensure 2025 won't be a year of regret are:

• To dedicate quality time to the Steemit platform and to ensure that my best is given.
• To be at peace with everyone.
• To work very closely with my God.
• To work hard and ensure that my family is well taken care of.
• To be at my best in every given task
